We aren’t just medical students - we’re student engineers, biochemists, lawyers and more!
Keep an eye out for how you can join our fantastic society in September. #uniofleeds #yorkshireambulance @YorksAmbulance
ALT Did you know? LSCFR started out as a group of medical students, but now we’ve expanded to include students from any course!
Do you know where your nearest defibrillator is? LSCFR are responsible for the community access defib on the side of Royal Park Pub in Hyde Park, the nearest to many student houses in Leeds. ⬇️

Massive welcome to LSCFR’s new committee, and thank you to the outgoing members for all their hard work!
As a society, we could not be happier to announce that we were awarded “Best Overall Society” at this year’s @LeedsUniUnion Riley Awards.
We are so proud of all our volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to support @YorksAmbulance and the NHS.
We are also incredibly happy to have been awarded the Best Volunteering Society award.
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the society, and we now have aspirations to push the scheme further and continue to give back to our local community.

Tonight, after over 5 years involved with @LeedsStudentCFR and as part of the @YorksAmbulance family, I finished my final shift, partnered up with @PangbourneLucy.
774 hours down the line, a short 🧵 about what volunteering as a CFR has meant to me as I hang up my T-Shirt.

Steady night for Oli, Lucy and Sophia triple-crewed on our new falls car PCR07. One alternative response provided saving one patient a long-lie and leaving one more ambulance free to respond to higher priority jobs in Leeds.
🚨🚨🚨 🚘
It is with great excitement that we introduce you to the newest member of our team.
PCR07 is joining our scheme on a trial basis to help us expand @YorksAmbulance @YASCFR falls coverage across Leeds.
Our volunteers and our colleagues from @LUUWMS have been extremely lucky to have been in the expert hands of @BPMRT this weekend. Lessons and understanding to be taken back to the patients we see and treat in our local community, and hopefully well into the future.
We have had a full array of mountain weather this weekend. Amazing group of professional volunteers who excel in what they do, it has been great to learn about their organisation, what they do and a bit about how they do it. Thanks to @BPMRT for their amazing hospitality.
