Can confirm, a leaked email from Atkinson speculated "This is the first ever ICC CWC final to have a pitch which has been specifically chosen and prepared at the request of the team management and/or the hierarchy of the home nation board." #INDvsNZ

Feel for Ireland - they were the best drilled team in France but they’re yet to realize that becoming world champions is about getting out of your pool and coming up with a plan to beat 3 opponents on the bounce every 4 years. That is all. Nothing in the lead up matters. #RWC2023
