We stand with the Asian Community! ♥️
These actions must be called out for what they are, HATE CRIMES! Hate against the Asian community has risen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Together we can stop it! We see you, we stand with you! ✊🏼
Our research shows that we need a new approach towards youth development!
The creation of a Youth Development Department can aim its focus on youth ages 14-25 to increase their economic productivity, and entrepreneurship development to improve their lives and their environment.🗣
Mayor Eric Garcetti encourages City Council to support the creation of a Youth Department! We need the department to focus on Youth Employment and Youth Empowerment. It's time to fully invest in youth. 🗣💜💛 @MayorOfLA

That's right @mikebonin! Youth are the experts of their stories and know what we need. It's time for the 200,000 youth that live in poverty, the 8,000 that are homeless, and the thousands impacted by systematic disinvestment to get a seat at the table!!! – at East Los Angeles, CA
Without focused resources for our youth, we squander their future. Whether it's unemployment, gun violence, climate change, or lack of affordable housing, our youth are facing the tip of the spear. They must be allowed to define the agenda and shape the future. @InvestinYouthCo

I am so proud of my youth and the @InvestinYouthCo for leading these efforts! Thank you Council members @MRodCD7 ,@cd4losangeles ,@mikebonin and De Leon for introducing a motion to create the City's first Youth Development Department ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽Let’s make it happen

"When I found out my city only invests about $78 per young person , my mind was blown. It’s quite an injustice that so much is expected of young people yet those who need extra support are left out. A youth development dpt.can transform the young person experience" -Bryant
