First things first, congratulations to my friend Jason Gobeil on his new endeavour to lead the government’s Regional Cabinet office here in Brandon. Secondly however, just to point out that this office has been located in Brandon for over a decade, it wasn’t just established.

From unexpected PST hikes to over-the-top promises, Manitobans deserve financial stability, not more taxes. I'm committed to putting a halt to massive tax grabs that could impact your wallet. Together, we'll ensure your hard-earned money stays where it belongs in your pocket.

After a great few days with a number of US Representatives and Senators, I was pleased to end the day with family, friends and candidate colleagues Wayne Balcaen and Grant Jackson at Ribfest. Thank you to the many people who stopped to wish me (us) well in the upcoming election.

As you may have heard, earlier this morning there was a train derailment beneath the 18th Street Bridge. The bridge was closed to traffic while damage to the current bridge was being assessed. At approximately 11 a.m., the bridge has re-opened to traffic.
