A French feel to Friday, in honour of the founder of our #topiarygarden - the world's oldest - by Monsieur Guillaume Beaumont, about whom we are still seeking more information.

In #NationalChildrensGardeningWeek, why not bring the children to our glorious gardens and help them become inspired by the joys associated with gardening? Being out amongst nature - & playing in our playground too - can make for a great #kids #dayout. #CumbrianGarden #halfterm
Have you read the #topiary tips provided by our head gardener, Chris Crowder, in what is around 20 different regional publications across the UK so far? newsletter.co.uk/lifestyle/h…
With lots of predicted sunshine this week, surely this is the place to be? World's oldest topiary, quirky shapes, eye-catching details, gorgeous borders and so many other aspects to the gardens besides, not to mention a children's play area. Tempted?
Another beautiful Sunday on which to visit Levens Hall & Gardens, if in or near #Cumbria
The gardens are looking absolutely glorious in the sunshine. Although we are not open today, tomorrow and Monday are predicted to be fine days too, so come along and see the wonderful topiary, planting & so much more.

So sharp in the springtime, thanks to the hours of dedicated clipping put in by our gardeners and a fabulous #topiary specimen, whichever way you look at it.

Sometimes it's the geometry and angles that make the signature pieces stand out ...
Do come & see for yourself today and, as it's International Tea Day, you could also pop into Levens Kitchen for a cuppa. (No admission fee required to just do that).

To remind that we now open Fridays (just closed Saturdays), we thought you'd appreciate this photo, taken on #WorldTopiaryDay last Sunday and showing the glorious opiary garden spring planting. Of course, there's much more than the #topiary but come and see that for yourself!
Head gardener, Chris Crowder, talking to one of 3 groups that enjoyed a tour as part of #WorldTopiaryDay Here, he was explaining about tools used in clipping our historic topiary pieces. Did you see our day on the BBC NW news last night, or see the photo in @guardian today?
We were excited to see the unveiling of a topiary-inspired
textile design today, by @UCLan student Hex Gregson, who transferred her design on to a fabric, then made into a Regency-style dress. Visitors on our #WorldTopiaryDay event loved seeing her original sketches too.
