Iโve said it several times that I supported Peter Obi in 2022/23 because of his economic policies.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Tinubu got into power and started implementing those policies I had looked forward to Obi implementing.

I reached out to the company that sponsored that outing in which Irene showcased our beautiful Igbo Ichafu and they told me Dr. Azeezat reached out to them already to register her displeasure over mis-crediting.
Basically, Dr. Azeezat told them that the banner image of Beyonce wearing a head scarf was actually made by her and not the Daniel Obasi who got the credit on the banner. Of course Daniel Obasi had worked on an Ichafu (head scarf) for Beyonce, but she was saying that particular image wasnโt the one Daniel did that it was hers.
The guys (the company that sponsored Irene) noted that they were shocked because, according to them, they had searched for the image of Beyoncรฉโs ichafu made by Mr. Obasi and Google image pulled up that particular image. Even I have searched this in the past and got the same result. In fact, they shared with me an image from X where grok was asked what the image was and grok said it was Daniel Obasiโs ichafu made for Beyonceโs 2020 โBlack is King.โ
They said to me that they explained things to Dr. Azeezat as it was never intentional and that Dr. Azeezat was very cordial with them.
They said at no time during that call did Dr. Azeezat indicate she had issues with Igbos showcasing their culture through Ichafu. According to them, she never even mentioned ones anything about Ichafu or gele, because of course, sheโs a professional with brains and knows thereโs absolutely no basis for argument there. She was basically about giving someone else her credit, which you can see from her public post.
They said Dr. Azeezat admitted to them that they were not the first, that Bella NAIJA had also made similar mis-crediting mistake in the past.
They told me theyโd written out an apology to Dr. Azeezat and I even encouraged them to publicly acknowledge that. I wouldnโt be happy if someone took my work of art and credited someone else for it. It happens everyday, especially in this age but it doesnโt make it right.
Iโm so impressed by the professionalism of this media group in handling the situation. They had since re-edited the video to remove the Beyonce piece, attached below ๐๐พ And that re-edited video, Iโm told has been making the rounds in the media and I love it, because we must MAKE OUR ICHAFU GREAT AGAIN.
I assured them that they have the full support of so many of us and should just do the right thing with zero fears. When those who want to sue Igbos for promoting their Ichafu are ready with the lawsuit, we shall all see in court. For now,
