Sometimes change in life happens all at once. I found myself emotionally lost and, after a decade of creating instrumental music, accidentally writing songs. Today I'm finally sharing them with you in my new album, Sailing on the Light of a Passing Star🤍

ALT Levi Patel - Sailing on the Light of a Passing Star album cover. Levi stands sideways, looking upwards, in front of a starry night sky with hills in the background. Mostly blue/grey tones, and with a faint circular light around him, and a plane flying through the centre of the image.
I often lean on metaphor, but I'm suddenly realising that these lyrics leave nowhere to hide. Doubt About You is the final song I'm sharing before the full album, Sailing on the Light of a Passing Star, later this month.
Thank you for listening 🤍

I spoke with the @indianweekender about my music, China, my Indian heritage, and my grandfather's extraordinary life story, where family and the future of a nation collide.

I never intended to expand beyond instrumental music and start writing songs. Perhaps that's why some songs on this album almost feel like a duet with the incredible string players, and the ambience.
You can hear the second song now, called Stay Still - levipatel.com/release/stay-s…
I just had a wonderful chat with Maggie Tweedie on @radionz about my unbelievable experience going viral on Chinese social media
We also discussed my time in Liuzhou, Obi-Wan Kenobi, my upcoming album, and learned a few things about myself along the way

After over a decade of instrumental music, I've finally found my voice. Today I released Gravity, the first song from my upcoming album, and the first ever featuring my voice and lyrics.
Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy it 🤍

I may have only released collaborations over the past few years, but I’ve never stopped working on music of my own.
It's a new direction, but I closed my eyes, pressed the button, and the first song, Gravity, will be with you in two weeks 🤍
Easily the song that surprised me most from our collaboration, today Jeremy Redmore and I are sharing ‘Love Will Come Your Way’ featuring the beautiful vocals of Avya.
I hope you enjoy this unusual journey 🤍

After four whole years since we first started working together, and over a decade of being inspired by him, I’m so proud to finally share my new song with Jeremy Redmore - Worlds Apart.
I hope you enjoy the music 🤍

“If you ever want to do a vocal collab.. 🙋♂️”
Many years after seeing Jeremy Redmore in Midnight Youth countless times growing up, from behind my fringe of course, I received this unbelievable invitation.
I start all of my collaborations as a fan, but this time had history.
Over the past few years I've been on an unlikely musical journey with one of my favourite songwriters, vocalists, and rockstar-inspirations-of-my-youth, Jeremy Redmore.
I can’t wait to share our song 'Worlds Apart' with you soon 🤍
One year today of learning Mandarin Chinese, and I've only once accidentally started negotiating a business deal with a chef while practicing. Not too bad.
If anyone wants to practice with me, I need all the help I can get!
今天我学了一年中文。你可以帮我学一下吗？我有点累哈哈
This time I'm writing about comfort zones, strange questions from new friends, and my 2.73 minutes of fame.
I'll be sending out my next newsletter episode in the next couple of days, and I hope to see you there - eepurl.com/glhaTz
