Recovery is possible, and when someone is ready to seek help, that support needs to be there. Since taking office, I've overseen an increase of more than 1,700 beds in Oregon's behavioral health system. We've made progress, but there's more work ahead.

OSSOFF: If you’re late with your rent, the machinery of late fees and eviction is very efficient. But when you tell your landlord about the black mold in your daughter’s bedroom, nobody comes for four months. And then, when you’ve got to take her to the hospital for her asthma attack, you get a $3,000 bill for the ambulance. Life was already hard enough before Donald Trump lied us into war, before his tariffs made everything more expensive, and before he doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid. It costs more today than ever before in American history to fill up your truck, to stock your fridge, to power your home, to go to the doctor. Meanwhile, and you’ve seen it, the president and the first family line their pockets to the tune of billions of dollars. The time has come to wield the power granted to us by our Constitution and rebuke this obscenity.

Maybe this is crazy. But a woman who built herself up from being a homeless child to an accomplished physician, seems preferable to a man born into the privileges of private education and frequent international family vacations but never learned decency.

OBAMA: I got criticized for tightening up enforcement at the border. But I don't recall anybody campaigning on sending masked agents running through our streets. Don't recall anybody talking about law abiding citizens being arrested, detained, or shot.

Public money belongs in public schools. Christine Drazan’s education plan would take that money out of our K-12 system and send it to private schools. That’s not how we support every student, and I’ll keep fighting for the public schools that serve all of Oregon’s kids.

A Philadelphia Quaker congregation has committed $500,000 toward reparations, helping Black families achieve homeownership. For generations, discriminatory housing practices have denied Black families opportunities to build wealth. This is a meaningful step toward addressing those injustices! 👏🏿

Abdul El-Sayed: “We can have a safe and secure southern border. ICE doesn’t do that. ICE has been used as a paramilitary force on our streets. ICE is not about immigration. Under Donald Trump, ICE is about normalizing the idea that you can have masked men on your streets who can detain you without telling you why. That’s un-American. We have a rule of law. ICE needs to be abolished”

Every Republican in Congress watched Trump fire 17 inspectors general. Not one lifted a finger. They aren't lawmakers. They're accomplices with a pension who need to be fired. Your vote can do that. #BlueWaveIn10Days

Southern Oregon hospitals can’t run without the techs, therapists, and support staff who keep them open, and too many of those jobs are going unfilled. My administration awarded a $5 million grant to Rogue Workforce Partnership to train more people for allied health careers. That means good jobs for folks here at home and stronger hospitals for the families who depend on them.

Ana Navarro: “I’m never gonna be a sellout to the Latino community. I am never ever ever going to legitimize a man who is targeting my community and inflicting suffering on Black and brown people. I have been in this country through 7 different presidents from Carter to Trump. I would have gone and sat down with every single one of them except Trump. I am in no way ever going to sit down with the man and treat him as if he was normal. What he’s doing to America is not normal”

I said this months ago. When Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was killed by ICE in Houston, the first thing many young Latinos did was call our fathers who just as easily could have been the one shot. That story rattled so many young Latinos in TX. Among many others.
As turnout in Texas nears 3 million votes, Hispanic turnout is now exceeding presidential levels. More Hispanics have voted than did at this point in the 2024 presidential election. What's driving this huge increase? Young voters.

US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

Sometimes I think Trump's DOJ exists to help me run up my win record. They file frivolous cases that they then litigate incompetently. Yes, the Alaska case is a step towards authoritarianism, but we will fight and we will win. ⚖️🗳️

James Talarico: “Elon Musk is trying to buy this Senate seat in Texas. Our movement is funded by 1.3M individuals who have donated their hard-earned money to this campaign. Ken Paxton is funded by one dude. Elon Musk wants our land, our water, our taxpayer dollars, and he wants his very own personal US Senator. He’s trying to buy Texas, but on November 3rd, we’re gonna deliver a crystal clear message to the world’s first trillionaire: Texas is not for sale”
