If Republican organizations are going to call fellow Republican patriots “demon worshippers,” we deserve to lose. I’m Catholic. I’ve heard the same crap about my own faith from people who couldn’t tell you what Catholics actually believe. You’d think we’d know better than to turn around and do it to Sikhs. Sikhs worship one God and reject idol worship. And the Catholic Church, which teaches that the fullness of religious life is found in Christ, also teaches that we should recognize what is true and holy in other faiths. We have enough trouble persuading people to vote Republican. Why the hell are we picking fights with the people who already do?
