SNOWY 2.0: FROM $2 BILLION TO $25 BILLION—WHO’S ACCOUNTABLE?
Snowy 2.0 was sold as a $2 billion project. The latest cost estimate has reached around $25 billion, with further delays and cost risks.
When a project blows out on this scale, taxpayers deserve answers: Who approved the decisions? Who bears responsibility? What prevents the next blowout?
Government doesn’t spend money as carefully as the people who earn it.

I would have changed contractors after $3B, what fool let it blow out to $10B (5X) even!.
Some say that a project that is just a battery that generates nothing might cost up to $40 Billion, you could have several nuclear plants that will actually cover our baseload requirements for that.
