The Bookmobile has arrived! We will be at the MLK center until 3:30. Come see us!

What an amazing year full of books, stories, and fun! #dentonisdlib #TomasRiveraElem

Pre-K visited the library today! They had so much fun, and so did I! #dentonisdlib #TomasRiverElem

Today was such an awesome day for our 4th and 5th grade library book clubs; we had a virtual author visit with Zoraida Córdova! Thank you to @diversebooks for providing copies of Valentina Salazar is NOT a Monster Hunter & setting up the visit. #TomasRiveraElem #dentonisdlib

My 5th grade book club LOVED Invisible by Christina Diaz Gonzales! We had fun talking about which of the 5 kids we related to most and why (all characters were well represented in our group). Thank you again @ChristinaDG! Also, they want a sequel! #TomasRiveraElem #dentonisdlib

Happy Halloween!

My 4th grade book club gave a unanimous 5 stars to Invisible by Christina Diaz Gonzales! We had a great discussion about why it was written in English AND Spanish & learned a few things from each other in the process. A BIG THANK YOU @ChristinaDG! #TomasRiveraElem #dentonisdlib

We had fun celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in the library! Students learned about Hispanic leaders, entertainers, and authors & illustrators, built flags in our STEM stations, and read lots of books by Hispanic authors/illustrators. #TomasRiveraElem #DentonISDLib

The 4th and 5th Grade Library Book Clubs finished up Thirst today. We all enjoyed getting to know Minni and learned so much about the struggles of many just to have clean water. Now it is on to Invisible! #TomasRiveraElem #ChristinaDG #VarshaBajaj #DentonISDLib

August is in the books! Not only did we add 74 new books to the library this month, but 658 books were added over the summer! Those are some impressive stats! #TomasRiveraElem #dentonisdlib
