I have to give a shout out to the homie @Science_Social2 for putting me on to this scholar Dr. Valethia Watkins of Howard University. This is the first time I've heard feminism/anti-feminism articulated this way. I'll put the YouTube link to the presentation on the next tweet.
Thank U for your kindness & smoothness in it all. Was a pleasure 2 contribute. You’re amazing & I wish U all the best continued. Peace Vida. ✨🙌🏾🎵
I had the pleasure of cohosting a podcast and interviewing @DaMFunK!
What an honor!

It’s silly season so that means The LA Times found a few Black folks who aren’t voting for Mayor Bass and decided to write the political obituary of her Black support. Beloved, even Jesus had Judas. 😂 Now the Nithya Defense League is running around clutching that article like

I just banned new oil and gas drilling throughout Los Angeles and we'll be phasing out existing wells. For generations, Black and Latino communities have carried the burden of neighborhood drilling. Your ZIP code should never dictate your health! We are confronting this systemic injustice head-on, because of vital partnerships with Council President Marqueece Harris Dawson (mhd.la2024), Councilmember @katyyaroslavsky, Councilmember @adrin_nazarian and our frontline community leaders, organizers, and activists. Let's keep moving LA forward together! Vote on or before November 3rd.
I'm wrapping up my time at my job to transition to a new role and everybody is sending me messages about how much they'll miss me and it's making me sad 😭
You are real dumbass for this.... Cuz unless she was gonna stop the wind from fanning the flames, wtf difference does it make where she was at?
Beverly Hills isn't designated as one of the cities in California to run the test pilot. But Malibu is.

its just under a different name. a different set of billionaires. i bet you there wont be any in beverly hills
"seemingly" cuz clearly this is an issue she's been working on for years. You can't just wave a magic wand everything gets changed immediately.
She's not lying. As one of the youth she invested in, I can say for a fact she means it.
When I was a physician’s assistant in South LA, I saw young people in my community fall victim to addiction and end up in prison.
My guiding principle has always been to fight for a better future for my community. So I left my job to start Community Coalition, where we invested in our youth, and put them on a better path.
That experience shapes my work as Mayor today. During my time in office, we’ve connected thousands of Angelenos with jobs, and started the Office of Community Safety.
As your Mayor, I’m dedicated to creating a brighter future for our youth.
You mean the red tape she's been working on fixing since she took office? Yall just day anything
Oh no the mayor suddenly remembered she had a job
Why does @MayorOfLA only do stuff after Raman announced a plan for that as mayor?
This just means she's continue not working for another 4 years
When Chevron gave to an outside group backing her, she told them publicly to take the money back. The "downtown business interests" behind the Convention Center are the union workers building it. And if we're talking big money, a hedge fund founder has put $4 million behind Raman
Lmmfao she had to do it in secret cuz Councilmember Jurado had to chase her up out of there when she went over there campaigning instead of helping.... As per usual.
For the record.... She IS the establishment... She's some rich girl from the East Coast whose family is of the highest caste in India. Y'all have got to stop pretending she's some progressive who is going against the establishment.

Assemblymember @MarkJGonzalezLA has been a fierce ally in our fight for justice for our Boyle Heights community, and we’ve stood side by side confronting the greatest challenges our city faces, from affordability and public safety, to the terror of our federal administration trying to tear our immigrant families apart. I’m excited to work together over the next four years to continue delivering for Angelenos!
