I absolutely can’t stand a full grown man who is dishonest with themselves or others, who strawmans, and gaslights. Maybe you’re just ignorant and I’m being harsh. But why don’t you say something of integrity and value.. Like how running a node gives people the power to reject rules, not the power to force everyone else to follow theirs.. Why did Bitcoin need independently operated nodes in the first place? If exchanges and custodians recognize a different fork as BTC, what power does your node have to stop them? Is Bitcoin governed by individual sovereignty or by whoever controls the most economic power? Basically… what does determine the outcome of a fork in your mind? How is bitcoin different than everything else?

Do you realize the contradiction in what you’re saying? There are over 18,000 independent nodes and the top 1% control over 90% of economic activity. (conservatively!) Five exchanges handled 87.4% of measured trading activity for Sept 2026. The top three exchanges alone accounted for 70.3% of trading volume. Binance alone handled 44%. Three mining pools produce 2/3 of blocks in the last 7 days. One custodian handles approximately 84% of tracked US spot Bitcoin ETF custody…guess who?…it’s Coinbase! Corporate and institutional holdings are large even before counting exchange customers…about 18% of the max. supply of BTC. If power is concentrated in the hands of the same institutions Bitcoin was designed to make unnecessary, what exactly did we decentralize? And if the economic majority determines Bitcoin's future, how is it different than fiat? You gave away the ONLY power you had. You can’t get it back. You can’t “vote” your way out of tyranny.

5000 Core listening nodes have disappeared since BIP110 - we can safely assume those were fake and only spun up to suppress the % of BIP110 nodes. The overall amount of listening nodes running on the SHA256 network has dropped from 27,000 to 18,000 - roughly 33% of the network! If we subtract the fake Core nodes from that it'd be a drop of roughly 17% which would mostly consist of Bitcoiners who migrated to XBT along with their nodes. This image just represents the last three weeks.

Can we be done with the softforks for now? So we can focus on post RDTS expiration?

I'm going to be honest with you. You're not going to want to hear this. And you certainly won't agree, but I'm damn sure right about it. Are you ready? Don't do this. Convey all 100 things to her with non-verbals and action over time and every day. Compliments are ok sparingly and non gushing. But if you literally write down 100 things you appreciate about your wife and give them to her, her conscious mind will like it, she'll even tear up probably, and hug and kiss you, but subconsciously you'll have reduced yourself to her. You'll have damaged the necessity for you to remain a challenge and a mystery to her. And that is the basic foundation of what makes you attractive to her. Your strength, tenderness, wisdom, leadership, confidence, humor, personality, even your love for God, all build your attractiveness upon this singular foundation: Challenge & Mystery. And now you know. It's the perennial truth of why women - even decades long married women - are attracted to their man. Period.
Going to write down 90-100 things I appreciate about my wife and give it to her. Who wants to join me? In marriage, men are called to love and lead

BIP110 was not to fight spam. It was to prevent CSAM attacks. BLAKE2b wasn't either - it was to restore functionality to the network after the miners attacked it. Neither was the long maturity - that was to fight Stratum pooling. Bitcoin fights spam with filters. And it's very effective. From nearly 2 MB of spam per block to 120k is a 94% reduction. And as you notice, Plumb is paving the way to reduce it further. Spam is still bad, but no longer a serious problem for Bitcoin.

The most powerful computer network in the world controlled by 2 mining pools, coercible by governments or Saylor-Black rock level suits. Woke dishonest devs. A pleb army neutered by nodes that don't matter and admonished by the cult-leaders who are really paid-off influencers who can't afford the sponsorship loss, let alone the social cost, of maintaining a backbone. Yeah this is all going swimmingly. You all became the very thing we sought to destroy. Congrats. AND YOU KNOW IT IN YOUR BONES, but none of you are intellectually honest enough to admit it.

It makes no sense to activate a permanent softfork that activates a week after it was first proposed Dumb

I'm not @LukeDashjr's biggest fan, but the balls on that man to pull off the continued decentralization of Bitcoin and give maxis a way to move forward with XBT (Bitcoin that is not captured), is something that I am thankful for and I know it has taken great integrity to do it.

Bitcoin in self custody when 3 pools decide what goes in blocks, is the same cage.

Grok is looking at everything from the perspective of hashrate, implicitly assuming that 5 large mining pools get to decide the rules of Bitcoin. If you look at it from the perspective of node runners getting to determine consensus, rather than large regulated miners, we had 15-25% of the nodes running a UASF and literally nobody running a URSF opposing us. The actual minority soft fork was thus the URSF, since it was close to zero. With BIP-110, we told the large mining pools that op returns greater than 83 bytes were no longer allowed in blocks. The large mining pools ignored our rule and instead expanded the rule set to allow op returns greater than 83 bytes (expanding rules= hard fork, narrowing rules= soft fork). The mining pools sided with Saylor and Core and Tether, against the wishes of UASF node runners. They hard forked themselves off the network by doing this (hard fork again means expanding the rules). Sometimes people conflate hard forks and chain splits, whereas it's possible to have a chain split with either a soft fork or a hard fork

Watch how institutional power is not merely normalized, but openly celebrated in Bitcoin's social layer. Wealth, status, access, and proximity to power are elevated, while Bitcoin's founding principles, including sovereignty and the separation of money and state, are ridiculed. The values of the fiat system Bitcoin was created to challenge are being repackaged as Bitcoin's path to success. On November 5, Mars Spits Bars takes this worldview to BTC Inc's Bitcoin Amsterdam, on a Whale Pass-only panel titled: “BIG BITCOIN: IN CONTROL?” The CAPTURE articles documents the institutional relationships and mechanisms of influence. Bitcoin's social layer is the final line of defense against complete institutional capture. But if that very social layer is being conditioned to celebrate institutional power, ridicule principled opposition, and attack those exposing its concentration, who exactly is left to resist it?

SPAM INSTITUTIONS AND BIP110 Some of you think that BIP110 was rejected by the miners for various false reasons. Let me demonstrate the real reason why BIP110 was rejected. To the left, we see 3 of 6 the big hasher pools that control over 90% of the network. When you look into who owns who, it's really more like 2 pools. The blocks of those pools are all 100% full, while the blocks of the smaller pools on the right at not always full. One of the reasons for this is that the spammers have entered into an agreement with the hasher cartel to bypass the policies and fill every empty block space with spam, all at a very low fee. On the right, red shows the empty section of blocks. As a result of this, spam now takes up half of block space, and they pay 4x less than monetary users for the same block space. This is why BIP110 was ignored. The spammers and the hasher pools got together behind closed doors and decided they run the show now.
