🚨 OUT NOW.
In 2020, Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad were deep in sessions for their second album together as The Midnight Hour. Then the world shut down. The recordings were shelved, and the two pivoted to build the jazz label of their dreams: Jazz Is Dead.
Six years later, those sessions are finally here. The Midnight Hour: Lost Tapes JID028 is available now on all streaming platforms and on vinyl at jazzisdead.com. 🔗
The Midnight Hour: Lost Tapes JID028 will be released tomorrow. A lost treasure nearly forgotten.

ALA.NI & Adrian Younge's "Proud of Me" is out now! We hope you all are enjoying the music.
Vinyl available at linearlabsmusic.com.
“The contrast between ALA.NI’s ethereal pipes and Younge’s cinematic orchestration, stained with melancholy and psychedelia, heighten the album’s emotional inflections...
...creating a brooding, immersive song cycle reminiscent of Minnie Riperton’s Come To My Garden, with Younge taking arranger/producer Charles Stepney’s role.” - Charles Waring, Mojo

"Walk Me To" is a song from ALA.NI & Adrian Younge's newly released "Proud of Me."
Available at linearlabsmusic.com.
For ALA.NI, the song speaks to waiting, both literally and metaphorically, for someone emotionally unavailable to finally arrive fully into your life. Its gentle sense of suspension offers a fittingly unresolved ending to the record. Lyrics by Jack Waterson.
