#ClosingBell | Benchmark indices moved higher for fourth straight day to end at 10-month high.
#Sensex jumped 375 points to 61,121 while #Nifty ended 133 points higher at 18,145.
#NiftyBank underperformed, down 18 points to 41,290.
Midcap index on the other hand jumped 273 points to 31,706.
Barring Media and Banks, all sectoral indices ended in green with Power, Metal, Pharma, IT gaining ~2% each.
Market breadth was in favour of advances. 1,069 stocks on the #NSE advanced while 900 stocks declined.
- Top Gainers: Adani Enterprises, Divis Labs, NTPC
- Top Losers: Axis Bank, UPL, Eicher Motors
#Rupee ended higher at 82.7/$ vs previous close of 82.77/$.
#ClosingBell | Benchmark indices moved higher for third straight day to close at a 7-week high.
#Sensex jumped 787 points to 60,747 while #Nifty ended 225 points higher at 18,012.
#NiftyBank advanced 317 points to 41,308 while Midcap index jumped 429 points to 31,432.
For a change, all sectors ended with gains.
Market breadth was in favor of advances. 1,084 stocks on the #NSE advanced while 916 stocks declined.
