🚨 Gary Neville tears into Lisandro Martínez after his costly red card against Chelsea:
🗣️ “I'm absolutely furious. How can an experienced defender make such a stupid challenge? Martínez wasn't even watching the ball. He put his hands in Morgan Rogers' face and gave the referee every reason to award a penalty and show him a second yellow.
“Manchester United are now two goals down and down to 10 men. The frustrating part is that we had chances to be two goals ahead, but Amad wasted them.
“You cannot put this on Carrick. The manager didn't tell Martínez to make that challenge. Look at the way United's defenders escorted Chelsea's players for the opening goal. It was embarrassing.
“Too many players are simply not good enough to wear this badge. You cannot keep making schoolboy mistakes in big games and expect Manchester United to return to the top.
“This defeat is on the players. They have let their manager, the supporters and the club down.”

🚨 Man City update on 'irrefutable evidence' as new 114 charges appeal timeline emerges
- Sources say City are planning no major changes before the verdict
- A final appeal decision is expected in the early stages of 2027
- City still insist they have "irrefutable evidence" that will exonerate them
- They were found guilty of 114 charges relating to breaches between 2009 and 2018
- The club continue to deny any wrongdoing
- The Premier League want the appeal wrapped up before the season ends
- Sources say a single-season deduction of 40 to 50 points is increasingly likely
- An extended transfer ban and an astronomical fine are also expected
- Enzo Maresca has batted away constant questions in press conferences
- City sit top of the Premier League on 21 points and are in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals

🚨🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Championship Clubs Launch Coordinated Push to Force Manchester City Out of the Premier League Over 115 Charges:
More than 15 Championship clubs have now formally indicated, in a series of private meetings and written submissions, that they support demoting Manchester City from the Premier League as the only punishment proportionate to the scale of the club’s alleged financial breaches, according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the discussions.
The development marks a sharp escalation in the long-running case.
While the Premier League’s independent commission has yet to deliver its final verdict, club executives lower down the pyramid have grown increasingly vocal that a points deduction, transfer ban or fine would be treated by City as little more than a cost of doing business. The prevailing view among the Championship contingent, sources say, is that only relegation would send a sufficiently clear deterrent to every other club in the top two divisions.
The numbers are not in dispute,” one Championship chief executive told this outlet on condition of anonymity. “One hundred and fifteen separate breaches is not a grey area. It is a sustained, multi-year operation. If the league does not respond with something that actually hurts, then every other owner will draw the same conclusion: the rules are optional if you are rich enough.
The informal canvass of Championship clubs began quietly in late summer after the independent commission’s initial findings were circulated among league stakeholders. What started as a handful of clubs expressing frustration has, according to three separate sources, hardened into a clear majority position.
Of the 24 Championship clubs, at least 15 have now either signed a joint letter or given verbal assurances through the EFL that they favour demotion over any other sanction. The remaining clubs are said to be split between those who prefer a severe points deduction that would make survival difficult and a smaller group who remain wary of setting a precedent that could one day be applied to them.
The letter, which has not been made public, argues that the Premier League’s financial rules exist precisely to protect competitive balance between the two divisions. Allowing City to remain in the top flight after findings of this magnitude, the document claims, would “render the entire regulatory framework meaningless” and “incentivise systematic non-compliance by any club with sufficient resources.
A second source, familiar with the drafting process, said the language was deliberately stark. “They did not want this to be read as a negotiating position. They wanted it to be read as a demand.
