Err hello brilliant panel 🤩
@IsobellePanton doing such an amazing job of chairing the @UA92MCR discussion tonight 👏🏽
Such an explicit focus on blending the best of academia and industry is great to see (and very @TICMcr -y!) and love the dedication to socio-economic inclusion
At the launch of the new @UA92MCR business school and its fab to hear @MayorofGM talking about the importance of line of sight for young people from all GM boroughs to amazing well paid careers.
Such nice alignment to the skills programmes were running @TICMcr
Hanging out in Rochdale today as part of the @TICMcr collaboration with @fireup_rochdale
It’s a gorgeous coworking space based in a heritage fire station 🚒 with loads of support offer
Can’t wait to get stuck in on AI skills and growth support with the team here
Can’t believe how many wonderful folks turned out to celebrate the launch of @TICMcr with us!
Delighted to meet so many people keen to take Greater Manchester’s AI ecosystem to the next level 🚀
Genuinely standing room only at the launch of the Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester with @LizzyCScott @TICMcr
Love this!
Today I attended a startup’s ‘board meeting’ in London but the thing is, this startup doesn’t have an official BOD. Instead, they invite a rotating group of current and potential investors, mentors and super-fans to attend these quarterly meetings where they discuss strategy and receive feedback.
Super unique and refreshing format for early stage founders, I’m totally into it 🙌🏼
Well Manchester has shown up in force for the @praetura_ven and @ECUK_Mcr Founder F*ck Ups event!
Great to see experienced founders sharing what’s gone wrong along the way, so others can avoid making the same mistakes 👏🏽👏🏽
Launch day is nearly here! 🥳
We’re bringing the Turing Innovation Catalyst out into the world on 25th Sept and want as many voices from across Greater Manchester’s AI ecosystem in the room as possible!

Can you tell I was excited to bump into @SKellyCEO at a science and technology event in Manchester today?
I loved my time sitting on the Tech Nation board with him, and can’t wait to see what he and the team do with @WANdisco in this new chapter 🙌🏽
Well hello @techclimbersuk - welcome to Manchester! 👋🏽 (ps - sorry it’s raining, but you know….Manchester ☔️ 😂)
And so lush to see one of my faves @MoAldalou doing his super-connector thing so so well as usual 🤩
Absolutely delighted to see this brought to life 🥳
@praetura_ven are known for doing some superb work across the north, and this will be an important addition to the funding ecosystem 🚀

What an absolute delight to be reunited with Maha Gadher at @thenextweb.
Maha was the powerhouse behind so much of our partnerships magic at Tech Nation, and is now doing great things at @Techleapnl as they build the Dutch ecosystem. I’m loving hearing about their approach.
Super early start today but I’m really excited about spending a couple of days in Amsterdam at @thenextweb hanging out with a bunch of other tech ecosystem builders and supporters 🤓🇳🇱
I’m in meetings in Manchester all day today but enjoying sneaking by a peek at my wonderful ex colleague Sammy Fry as he takes the stage to discuss all things climate tech @LDNTechWeek 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Excited to see the @StartupCltn rebrand and this report on the top 50 startup constituencies in the UK
Yet again Manchester is top ranking outside of London (and the only non-London constituency to make it into the top 10 🚀 )
The report we’re launching alongside our rebrand highlights how far we’ve come - in the top 50 constituencies for startups that we outline, every nation and region in the UK is represented.

With all of the noise about chat GPT @buzzinbee3 talks about @GMCAdigital focus on upskilling of people and businesses in how best to leverage AI 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Still a bit sad that chat GPT wouldn’t write my speech for me but lovely to speak at the @GMAIFoundry showcase today
The pragmatic place based approach that Greater Manchester is taking in terms of recent announcements in skills investment.Manchester have our own specific challenges. We created 80,000 tech roles, the highest in the UK. @LizzyCScott @TechNation speaks about regional opportunities
