This might be an unpopular opinion and I might hurt some feelings with this one but TLDR: Just bc you’re a holder doesn’t mean your wants and needs will always be met. You will be heard, you will be considered. But sometimes you’ll be disappointed. We are at the hyper scaling era of crypto projects and that might not align with “day 1 holders.” Bored Apes are a good example. There are members who minted based on a v.1 roadmap from early 2021. That was almost 5 years ago - a fcking lifetime and a half in crypto. If you were a minter, congratulations, you had multiple opportunities to change your life. Holders bought homes, found jobs, built protocols, funded other builders, invested in other projects. Positive impact was made. If you fumbled and you’re butthurt, then maybe this highly speculative, volatile market isn’t for you and perhaps you should put you money into the S&P. Those who choose to ignore the direction and growth of the wider ecosystem today and instead cherrypick to justify their personal grievances, I’m sorry to break it to you but you're now participating with multimillion valued companies trying to compete at the forefront of an emerging tech market. They are forced to run campaigns, analyze metrics, implement product cycles, and it simply cannot just run on “vibes.” At the end of the day, BAYC is a club made up of a wide range of people. It’ll continue to evolve and you can choose whatever degree of participation. Some of you “i’m just here for the vibes” uncs lost your energy or lost interest, siloed yourselves out from what’s new and obsessing over what could’ve been. That’s ok but take some time to reflect. The new class of Apes are about vibes, fun, collaboration, and degeneracy. They’re collectively molding the identity and culture of what this club will look like for the next few years. The membership fee today isn’t cheap but there are still people working their asses off to own a Bored Ape. Meanwhile some of you mfers who paid .08 ETH for your Ape and trying to squeeze out 100 ETH worth of your own subjective value, you are abusing your membership. And if you’re having a hard time justifying the cost (money, time, energy), then it’s ok to leave and explore other communities. Alternatively, you could just detach your identity from your NFT and treat it as a digital token asset. If that’s the case, learn to leverage it. The team at ApeChain is building partnerships, pointing you toward options, and walking you through ways to earn $ APE and other tokens. Or even easier, post about APE / RAID with wallchain, opinionsdotfun, enter whatever else and farm infofi bonuses. Literally it’s laid out in front of you but if you’re not willing to participate, then that’s on you. If all that is too much clicking for you to handle, pass down the perks by delegating your Ape to someone hungrier and give them a chance to farm. idfk just do anything besides sitting there pointing fingers and bitching. With all that said, if you’re a self-proclaimed ride or die Bored Ape, then refresh your perspective, expand your limitations. Your biggest risk is being underallocated to the club you log in with every single damn day but not having enough coins bc you’re a little bitch.
