I’ve expanded my long-form essay on Norm Macdonald into a short book. Norm, a cultural conservative & Christian, manufactured a ‘dumb guy’ persona & was well-read in literature, philosophy & theology, all of which he would weave into his material.

ICE agents doxed by Antifa.
‘The suspected breach, which sources described as a "catastrophic" security incident, may have exposed the names, titles, locations and, in some cases, phone numbers and email addresses of approximately 40,000 DHS employees and contractors, including roughly 10,000 ICE personnel, according to sources familiar with the data…
‘An anti-fascist hacking group calling itself the "Department of Peace" claimed responsibility for obtaining the data.’

Let's check in on the telos of modern feminism.
Christina Aguilera said her best skill in bed is BLOWJOBS - and called herself a “PROMOTER OF THE SWALLOW.” 💀
Alex Cooper asked what she’s best at in the bedroom.
“It’s got to be blowjobs.”
Then she went further.
“I’m a promoter of the swallow, OK. I didn’t put in that hard work for nothing.”
And then came the places.
The studio soundboard.
Planes.
Under blankets.
Alex thought she meant a PRIVATE plane.
“No, I’m not actually.”
She was talking about international flights.
Lights out.
Blankets.
Waiting for everyone to fall asleep.
Alex’s reaction?
“Oh my God, that’s iconic.” 😭
“SpaceX stock traded lower Wednesday. The retreat comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Elon Musk and said he was in close contact with the SpaceX and Tesla CEO.
“Meanwhile, a digital defense firm said it found an Israel-based ad company has targeted Starlink users in a likely effort to spy on them, Reuters reported.”

Sen. @tedcruz in March: "I don't believe that what is happening in Iran will be front and center in November. If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong... The president said at the beginning this is going to be a matter of several weeks."

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt reveals they’re already deep inside the AI industry, pushing to manipulate the source code and control what Grok and other chatbots tell you about Israel.
The Raven (1935): This short, one-hour horror film (with just a tangential relationship to Poe’s famous poem) is directed by Louis Friedlander (aka Lew Landers) and stars Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. The supporting cast is above average. “Lugosi stars as a neurosurgeon obsessed with Poe who has a torture chamber in his basement, and Karloff plays an escaped murderer on the run from the police whom Lugosi manipulates into doing his dirty work.”
While still a shitty actor, this is one of Lugosi’s better performances, playing a sadistic psychopath who enjoys torturing people both mentally and physically. Karloff’s character’s post-surgery facial disfiguration is memorable. (I believe Karloff did all his own makeup and prosthetics in most of his early films). 3.5/5

"You want to change the systems, so we are investing in going upstream to clean up the AI apps, to clean up Wikipedia, to clean up our education system, to clean up not just our college campuses, but K-12. Because if we don't go upstream, we lose."
More gems from Greenblatt, with accompanying visuals seemingly dreamed up by Julius Streicher. To accurately describe what's going on in Gaza is anti-Semitic.
It’s a total Juice-fest (esp the super annoying H-wood agent Ari Emanuel), but the first half of this has some good backstory on the Seinfeld show.

The Fall of the House of Usher (1960): Gothic horror film directed by Roger Corman, script by Richard Matheson, adapted from Edgar Allan Poe’s 1839 short story. Vincent Price delivers his wonderful lines with aplomb as the older sibling Roderick, the last of the two Ushers with the other being his sister Madeline. The Usher bloodline has driven all ancestors to violence, evil, and madness -- and even affected the mansion itself, causing the surrounding countryside to become desolate.
Roderick does not want to see the family evils propagated into future generations, should Madeline marry her suitor Philip Winthrop. Determined to end his own cursed bloodline, Roderick actively discourages the marriage, going to extreme lengths. The film also stands as an allegory of existential dread, of the psyche that obsesses over death and one’s own mortality. 3.5/5
