Yup. And we might have spent a Saturday or today in the library messing around with the Dewy decimal system wandering about and isle or two.

You could possibly walk away from this if you execute a proper PLF. just saying.
Videoing yourself doing stupid things on a motorcycle is a sure fire way to get you into serious trouble. As demonstrated perfectly by this idiot! 🤡😐

Nothing like pulling security with the homie, telling lies, quoting about movies, and revealing parts about your personal life nobody in the unit knows about.

There’s no amount of corrective training you could provide to a Soldier with this type of motivation. None. This is a lost cause.

I conducted a lot missions alongside European forces. They did well. Some better than others. Some more aggressive than others (talking about my Czech SOF Bros!). The Euro Troops were hamstrung by their countries Rules of Engagement. 2010 Marjah: British Apache gunships we’re called to CAS. They checked in, given a 9 line. Shortly after the Taliban would drop their weapons and walk away. The British would not shot them because they dropped their weapons. We push the Apaches away, Taliban returns and continues to shot. British Apaches checks off and replaced by American CAS. Taliban don’t know this and started to play the same game. Only this time they weren’t able to walk away. Later that day several of my teammates and Afghans were wounded. British Chinook checks in and MEDEVAC the wounded. The pilot was shoot in the head on EXFIL, but was able to fly back. He was awarded the highest medal from acts of heroism. The point I am making is that we all know what we did. We all should be proud of our service and those we served with. We give each other a hard time because that is the way we cope. I understand people hate Pete. He was a Soldier, talks like a Soldier, and has the heart of a Soldier. Get over it.

I wish NATO had never responded to your article 5 pleas. 25 of my fellow countrymen, friends and collugues of mine, would still be alive today. And then Hegseth said, we don't count cause the US did most of the work. A lie. The US was nowhere near Chora, when we were attacked!

US ROEs were very different than other countries. If the dropped their weapons and returned to them they are threat. So yes. They died. We killed them, and would do so million times. They were a threat. Often times European Soldiers request US CAS, because we didn’t have as many restrictions.

We all mourn our losses. We as Soldiers do it in ways atypical. Our humor is atypical and not always meant in the way snowflakes like. We do bad things to bad people, and bad people do bad things to us. So while you are sitting around sipping on $10 coffees pontificating your hatred online, there is a Soldier defending your fragility. I would rather have a Sec Def that is untethered from making politically correct statements. We respect people who speak their minds, and that includes saying things people don’t like hearing.
Two points: 1) Yes, the "ISAF" joke has been made in the past. 2) Many allies still mourn losses in Afghanistan. That especially includes the Brits and Danes in Helmand, the Canadians in Kandahar, etc. Hundreds of war dead for Brits. Nearly 160 for Canada. Dozens for others.

Troops in combat environments play many roles regardless of job descriptions. Some Army National Guard units were in the fight, some were in supporting roles. Does that mean those in supporting roles didn’t want to fight? No, they had a mission and that was their focus. Do we give them shit? YUP! Not to be mean, but out of love. Some people and Soldiers act like being a Soldier is all about empowering, and safe spaces. That mindset is annoying as hell and counter productive for warfighters.
Hegseth was a volunteer instructor in an ISAF non-combat role. As he sat in a classroom many coalition soldiers lost their lives in supporting America after 9/11. 1/3 of all fatalities were non US and many many more have had to live with life changing injuries. Shame on Hegseth.

May your countrymen Rest In Peace. I conducted one mission with the Polish SOF out of Ghazni in 2010. They did great. The only problem was when they exfil’d after the mission they left a guy on the battlefield. To this day I don’t understand why. He eventually linked up with my team and flew back to base with us. Apparently the reason he stayed behind was because one of his soldiers left an important part to a weapon system behind and he went to retrieve it.
Tell that, Mr @SecWar, to the families of 44 Polish soldiers who died securing the tough Ghazni province.

It was a joke heard from Soldiers of those same countries that people in the comment are complaining about. Euros calm down. And thank you. Let’s be honest, most of the time some of the majority of the fighting was Americans, Afghans, Brits, Aussies/ Kiwis and Canadians. Sprinkle a handful of others I didn’t mention Danes, Swedes, Nords and Fins. To be totally and completely honest, I heard it first from a Swedish soldier.
Hegseth on Afghanistan: I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters. It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there. Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations. In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths. t.co/x4tGhxJiFG

I would say you are looking at some hybrid woman/ kitten goth mutant getting in some trigger time. Kitty about to send it down range. You might want to teach whatever is behind that rifle trigger discipline.
Ok. I'm old school, I slap one of the "Big 3" on a gun with a QD and go. WTF am I looking at?
