Been quiet on here, sorry. I've had a health thing going on but I had a procedure this week that reassured me the thing I was worried about was okay. Looking forward to restarting life again. RELIEF.

Moved back to my mum's for 3wks with the trams being off as it was easier to get to work from hers. It was nice in lots of ways but they're back on tomorrow so I'm getting settled back into my flat and returning to normality. Looking forward to getting out and doing things again!

A woman who I was helping yesterday at work said to me: "You have a great voice, you know. You could have a podcast or a radio show." No one's ever said that to me before. Whenever I've heard my voice recorded I think I sound horribly nasal, but there we are.

Reading the third volume of Helen Garner's diaries. They're so good.

Probably not an ideal time to make this point given recent interactions, but from a linguistics point of view I found the implication funny here
#mufc will sign a marquee midfielder this summer for around £100m. Beyond that, United will recruit smartly, with market conditions shaping further spending rather than fixed fee breakdowns [@samuelluckhurst]

Paul develops "The Long and Winding Road" in Get Back. Love this clip, and Paul's line at the end: "there's enough obstacles without putting them in the song." youtu.be/oD4J-FagSQc?si=VRot…

Just watched What's Up Doc (1972) which is on iPlayer at the moment. My fourth Peter Bogdanovich, after Paper Moon, The Last Picture Show, and Targets. All such different films, all extremely good. Never really kept up with who had which bag but I think it's fine.
