you don't get rid of thoughts, because OCD is a neurodivergence, meaning that your brain chemicals WORK like this. you learn how to live with them the same way neurotypical people do. you neurotypicals also have intrusive thoughts, the difference is how the brain reacts.

This is literally the opposite of what any therapist worth their salt will tell a patient with OCD. Attempting to fight intrusive thoughts will just exacerbate them. What actually helps is learning to accept them, therefore robbing them of their power.
Fun fact I actually started hating MOAC (before I got into the band) bc I kept hearing it everywhere and then one day a older fan posted “uhh did you hear the rest” so I ended up googling an heard that part and actually made me fall in love with the song and band lmfao
