Divergence is SMT!!!!!!! 📌 WHAT IS SMT IN TRADING? SMT stands for Smart Money Trap / Technique. It helps traders identify potential market manipulation or weakness by comparing correlated pairs. For example, EURUSD vs GBPUSD or ES vs NQ. Here's how it works 👇 🔹 Bullish SMT 📈 One pair makes a lower low, while the other fails to make a lower low. This signals potential weakness in the selling pressure and a possible bullish reversal. 🔹 Bearish SMT 📉 One pair makes a higher high, while the other fails to make a higher high. This signals potential weakness in the buying pressure and a possible bearish reversal. Example: If EURUSD sweeps the previous low but GBPUSD holds above its previous low, that's a potential bullish SMT divergence. Instead of blindly selling the sweep, watch for confirmation of a reversal. ⚠️ Important: SMT is not an entry signal on its own.
