An introduction into binding existing libraries for Lua:
I just published Integrating Lua with C: Part 7 link.medium.com/kuWzHgVXHob
The seventh (probably last) part of my series on Integrating Lua with C is all about binding existing C libraries to make their functionality available to Lua.
A good initiative.
I have just written a lengthy note in French, to my French teacher, to motivate him to learn video game development with @LuaLang and @obey_love . Chances are low, but if he catches the bait, it might mean I will have to get involved too, at least at start, to help him.
Are you curious how Lua loads code? Then this article might be of interest to you:
I just published Integrating Lua with C: Part 6 link.medium.com/zU44k6U8xob
This time it is all about Lua readers, what they are, how they are used and how they can be implemented.

Beefing up a YAML parser with Lua…
I just added two more custom tags to the YAML parser for Lua found at github.com/arcapos/luayaml:
!Lua/file assigns to a value a chunk from a file as a function.
!Lua/callfile assigns to a value whatever a chunk in a file returns.
Docs at lua.msys.ch/lua-module-refer…
If you are on Windows, please give LuaRT a try and provide the developers with feedback.
Replying to @LuaLang
@__LuaRT__ has been updated to Lua 5.4.4 VM, and everything seems to be working well 👍
Did you know that the rpm package manager has an embedded Lua interpreter?
rpm-software-management.gith…
So you can use @LuaLang scripts in rpm spec files.
Are you a developer/maker of commercial software and have integrated Lua 5.4 in your product? If yes, what are your experiences and which Lua 5.4 features did you specifally use? If you integrated an older version of Lua, what are the reasons not to upgrade?
