Wave of cyberattacks on supermarket refrigeration reached Sweden and Belgium. Freezers turned into ovens. Temperature set to 50C. Everything from the fridges and freezers has to be thrown out. Earlier, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Germany, and Belgium, and US Military sites, had been affected as well. The weak spot are old Danfoss devices that reached end-of-life so won't get security updates. The fridges were connected to the internet so engineers could adjust them from anywhere and that part worked well as everybody now can see. One Swedish shop found a solution: sell part of the stock at half price.

‼️ BREAKING: Freezers at about 40 Delhaize and 15 Carrefour stores in Belgium warmed to around 15°C overnight. Three weeks ago, hackers did the same to 350+ supermarkets in France.
Delhaize will only call it an "IT incident". Butcher chain De Laet & Van Haver says its cooling settings were changed from outside, with the evaporators switched to defrost.
Delhaize's parent group, Ahold Delhaize, only recovered from its own cyber incident last week.

Polymarket Hacked - Users Reported Funds Stolen From Their Wallets

Polymarket suffered a security incident on October 29, 2026, after a compromised third-party provider exposed users of its international platform to wallet theft. Traders reported missing funds, unexpected withdrawals, and positions being closed without permission.
The company temporarily stopped trading, said it had fixed the issue, and promised to reimburse affected users. Trading later resumed. In its public statement, Polymarket said an outside provider had been compromised and that the matter had been referred to law enforcement.
Although early descriptions pointed to an authentication provider, current reporting connects this incident to DebugBear.

There's another PHP vulnerability that was not fixed in the releases on 10/21. It can lead to RCE, but only in specific, unusual circumstances. CVE-2026-115560. PHP plans to fix it in a normal release cycle.
