Biosecurity is one of the most urgent challenges for the AI era. Bringing SynthID to biology so AI-generated proteins can be watermarked is a critical step - and we’re open sourcing SynthID Bio tools so the research community can build on this work. Published in @Nature today, congrats to the team! nature.com/articles/s41586-0…
Very happy to announce that our team @GoogleDeepmind has pushed the boundaries of generative biology, achieving the successful synthesis of AI-designed proteins that are both functional and watermarked.
This proof-of-concept watermarking of the building blocks of life is enabled by SynthID Bio, our new protein watermarking method. It is designed to safeguard the new era of AI-powered generative biology and strengthen global biosecurity.
You can read my thoughts here on why watermarking AI-designed proteins is an important research breakthrough: xitter.cf/pushmeet/status/210531…
This experiment is genuinely one of the top AI apps to come out from Google. A feed of personally relevant, interesting and helpful information presented in a tasteful, non-addicting way...more than worth a download 🙂
Dreambeans is one of our newer experiments in @GoogleLabs. It has a growing cult following.
It’s simple: a fixed number of “beans” brew every morning. They point you at the real world, with real people, doing things you care about together.
Give it a try!

New "Device Help" tool in the tool drop-down in the @GeminiApp!
So far, I haven't gotten it to actually work. But it tries to use the utilities tool on android to control settings when you ask

It seems like Waymo is serious about hitting their target of 1M paid rides per week by the end of this year.
Earlier this year, they were doing 500k rides per week.
Just spotted upwards of 500 yes 500 Waymo Ojai today in Mesa, AZ
These are produced by Chinese automaker Zeekr of the Geely holding group then retrofitted with Sensors by Magna
I don’t know the exact number of cars just want to stress the magnitude of what I saw & the fact the lot went further than my eyes could see

Q2 was an amazing quarter, with our AI investments redefining what’s possible across every part of our business.
Alphabet revenue grew 24% YoY and Google Cloud accelerated to 82% growth. We saw exciting momentum across the board from Search to YouTube to the Gemini app (which reached 950M monthly active users). Our model APIs are processing 22B tokens/min (up from 16B+ last quarter) driven by our workhorse Flash models. We’re also seeing great adoption of Gemini Enterprise, used by 90% of the Fortune 100, as well as strong demand for our security solutions.
Outstanding results and momentum, and such an exciting moment—thanks to all of our partners and employees around the world! 🙌 About to hop on the call!

Gemini 3.6 Flash is worse bcoz it's not performing well at coding...
Coding is not the only use case for AI models.

Is One UI 10 finally taking shape?
Samsung is exploring a brand new interaction concept called the Fluid AI Design System. Rather than being a traditional user interface, it's a generative design philosophy built around AI.
Unlike today's static interfaces, Fluid AI can dynamically generate the most suitable UI based on your current task, surroundings, and context. It intelligently brings together information like your schedule, navigation, messages, and weather into a single adaptive experience, allowing the system to proactively reshape itself around your needs instead of forcing you to jump between different apps.
If this design philosophy eventually makes its way into a future version of One UI, it could mark a major shift in Samsung's software experience, moving from an app-centric interface to one that is AI and task-centric. This could very well represent one of the key directions for the future evolution of One UI.
