Σύμφωνα με την εκτίμηση του ΟΗΕ το 2023 η χώρα μας ήταν 11η παγκοσμίως στην μετανάστευση στο εξωτερικό, 2η στην Ευρώπη μετά την εμπόλεμη Ουκρανία και 1η στην ΕΕ. Αν λάβουμε υπόψη τους αντίστοιχους πληθυσμούς των χωρών, η Ελλάδα μάλλον μπαίνει στην πρώτη τριάδα παγκοσμίως στην μετανάστευση στο εξωτερικό. Το 2023. Περίπου 15 χρόνια μετά την έναρξη της κρίσης.
