These lovely ladies from TN were rescued 3 years ago.
Rachel was 15, missing an eye & Miss Kitty was nearly 11.
Efforts to find adoptive families were unsuccessful & the realization that they would live out the remainder of their lives with @luvpug became apparent
Recently a cancerous mass was discovered in Miss Kitty’s mouth.
While her prognosis is poor, she is still living her best life, full of love and attention.
Rachel is up there in years, but is still extremely loving, social and can pass for 12 or 13 years old most days
Miss Kitty has been on daily medication for the last two years and has blood work done regularly. Thier medical care has been funded with the support of donors of the LuvPug Foundation
They will continue to live out their best lives with each other & a loving home with @luvpug

Please meet Rye! This guy was found a couple of weeks ago. After doing everything we could to find the owners, sadly no one came forward. So we accepted this little guy under our care! Rye is a timid little fella who loves nothing more than to hang out with his favorite humans!
Rescue mission status- We were able to trap and take this sweet female dog to the vet to be spayed.
She was in heat, so we are paying the vet boarding fees/meds for 5 days, then she will have to be released back to the streets b/c all rescues are full

We got an unexpected urgent request this afternoon. A pregnant Mama dog had been in labor for two days & sadly the puppies were already dead & starting to decay inside her uterus.
Animal rescue isn’t linear. Sometimes impulsive decisions are made in the moment, from the heart, not knowing what the outcome will be. All you know is that something NEEDS to be done in that moment.
