Technological innovation can be a form of participation in the divine act of creation. It carries an ethical and spiritual weight, for every design choice expresses a vision of humanity. The Church therefore calls all builders of #AI to cultivate moral discernment as a fundamental part of their work—to develop systems that reflect justice, solidarity, and a genuine reverence for life.

To all OpenAI employees, I want to say: Learn to feel the AGI. Act with the gravitas appropriate for what you're building. I believe you can "ship" the cultural change that's needed. I am counting on you. The world is counting on you. :openai-heart:

Stepping away from this job has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, because we urgently need to figure out how to steer and control AI systems much smarter than us.

1. monad is still a 256 bit stack machine 2. evm stack depth is 1024 3. monad stack depth is 1024 4. monad is currently shanghai equivalent 5. there are no fundamental changes to the evm or its behavior 6. monad does not fix reentrancy 7. it is not the vm's place to stop reentrancy, just as it's not x86's place to stop segfaults, it is up to compilers 8. if you care about optimizing the current evm, monad is doing good work, but "improving" the evm is engaging in eip discussions, not shilling bags on ct

Of course you're up for a debate now that there's upside for you and your friends to farm such an interaction. Be real, you didn't give me the time of day originally because there wasn't enough clout in it for you to farm at the time, and you had your own biases against e/acc this whole time that you didn't disclose to your audience. We could have had a good genuine conversation where we disagreed on various aspects. Instead, the only forum you offer now is one that's fully adversarial. I'm not going to help pump some EA-backed shitcoin or feed your clout machine now that my doxx has made it worth it for you. Will organize my own public debate with actual neutral third party moderating (e.g. @Grimezsz), with an opponent that has some technical background and actual skin in the game (e.g. @NPCollapse), not a professional podcaster with this weird home turf advantage setup that mostly just helps your network and this EA crypto grift 2.0. Cheers, Beff out ✌️🎤

I am deeply pleased by this result, after ~72 very intense hours of work. Coming into OpenAI, I wasn’t sure what the right path would be. This was the pathway that maximized safety alongside doing right by all stakeholders involved. I’m glad to have been a part of the solution.
We have reached an agreement in principle for Sam Altman to return to OpenAI as CEO with a new initial board of Bret Taylor (Chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo. We are collaborating to figure out the details. Thank you so much for your patience through this.
