Postcard of Chatsworth House posted 31 July 1904 from Pershore. I’ll be transcribing the Pitman Shorthand message today. ‘Dear Flora. I dare say you will be surprised to know I have been here this morning.’

When the finder found 1 hoglet alone when walking her🐕, I said there could be more. Over the next few days 1 precious baby became 3🤗. These darlings are alive because the finder couldn’t bear to think of their suffering. All severely dehydrated, but 1 wk. on they’re doing grt❤️

I run a FB group about women in #WW1 in memory of my Nan. Emily was a widow who scrubbed floors and worked in a laundry to keep the family together. Every bit as important as soldiers and nurses.
Lots of photos, info and enthusiasm! Take a look!

Christopher Robin was putting on his Big Boots. As soon as he saw the Big Boots, Pooh knew that an Adventure was going to happen. He brushed the honey off his nose, and spruced himself up as well as he could, so as to look Ready for Anything. ~A.A.Milne #summerholidays
