Our broadcasters are informing our students about the upcoming book tasting. We ❤️ this annual event! This year, all the books are nautically set to go along with our @BartonAcademy PBL yearly ⚓️ theme. We ❤️ to partner with Bishop State culinary students to make it extra yummy!

Dr Pepper went against Dr Pouliot in chess on this fun Friday. He’s a former local champion, but I made him sweat it. ‘Twas an epic match, but Dr Pepper won. Sigh… since then, several Ss have come asking me to play them. Apparently nearly beating him has brought me notoriety. ♟️
I love the excitement of having new books to choose from in the library! Also, these two checked out the same book to read together and discuss. It was returned the next day & already recommended & checked out by another @BartonAcademy Explorer. Peer recommendations are powerful!
Our @BartonAcademy broadcasters are consistently bringing our students the news each morning with a smile! Really proud of this crew!

I loved teaching the 6th graders solid research strategies. An important step is to evaluate results from online searches for bias, credibility, currency, accuracy, validity, & usefulness. We had fun waving our “red flags” as we practiced critical thinking skills @BartonAcademy
This was Group A’s final broadcast for this quarter. We will see them again in 2025! They did a fantastic job - @BartonAcademy !

I’m loving the math & library collaboration @BartonAcademy ! Mr. Depinet is using the library spaces well to get his students to collect data to compare items as he teaches about ratio & rates. Ex: How many “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books on shelf vs checked out? I ❤️ my job! 📚 🧮
