Our Mercer family is heartbroken and devastated in sharing the news of the passing of one of our legends and Camden native, Donovon Guess. Donny was 21 and was working his way back academically in order to continue his career at a 4 year college.

At Mercer, we understand just how important it is for student-athletes to become upstanding and active citizens. Tonight, our program took part in the @allvotenoplay @pizzatothepolls night. Mercer was one of 24 watch parties nationally (across 17 different states) (1/2)
to watch Stephen Curry, Condoleezza Rice, Demario Davis and Tara Vanderveer discuss the importance of the civic duty to vote. Thank you @pizzatothepolls and @allvotenoplay for providing the pizza. #Mccchoops #rowforward #pizzatothepolls #Allvotenoplay (2/2)
The Mercer basketball family and I mourn the loss of my coach, mentor and friend Pete Carril, who died earlier this week at age 92.聽 Coach was very familiar with Mercer from his early days at Princeton, as, in the days before freshman were eligible, Princeton鈥檚 freshman team(1/3)
played Mercer at least once a year and there were some amazing battles.聽In my tenure as Coach, he spent time with our teams and offered great advice and encouragement to me and the players.聽 Coach believed in me as a player, and he has shaped my basketball and life philosophy.(2)
