The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 18 y/o Derek Lewis Horrocks. Derek was released from ITR. His mother arrived to pick him up; however, he was not present in the bench area.
MCSO recently recognized Jim Mason on his 90th Birthday. Jim is a dedicated public servant who has given 54 years of service to the office and citizens of Maricopa County.
He is a retired sworn Lt. and continues to lead the High Desert S&R Posse as its commander to this day.🎂🎉

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 63 y/o Rosemary Caratachea. Rosemary was last seen on September 1, 2026, leaving her residence near the intersection of North 377th Avenue and West Van Buren Street in Tonopah, Arizona.

On 9/17/26 MCSO Aviation Division rescued an elderly couple who had become trapped in flash flooding.
Despite the extreme weather, high wind gusts and lightning, MCSO personnel battled the elements and successfully rescued the trapped persons.
Reminder, crossing flooded roadways can have dangerous and many times deadly outcomes.
MCSO urges the public to be aware of monsoon storms, stay up to date with weather alerts and avoid flooded areas.
