Florida Dems, don’t despair. We moved the Governors race 18 points to the left despite being outspent by $160 million. We moved the Senate 10 points to the left from 2024. We ended the supermajorities in the Florida House and Senate, we beat the DeSantis Dummymander PLUS flipping another seat in Congress. We have several other Congressional seats that Trump won by double digits within 1 point. We got our Cabinet races within 2 points. A few months ago, if anyone would have predicted these results in Florida they would have been told they were insane. Let’s build off of this for 2028 and let’s make Florida a state not to be ignored in the Presidential race.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

This is co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras taking off in the very Learjet 60 N722BD that crashed yesterday at Greenacres, Palm Beach County, Florida. The 20-year-old aviator earned her private pilot's license at just 17, before even getting her driver's license. She clearly loved aviation from a young age. Gone far too soon. Ride with the angels, Nathalia.

I miss baseball already. I love other sports too but there's just something about that 162 game grind knowing almost everyday for 6 months there is a yankees game to watch

I really dont understand the "Miz should have been used out of the pen last night" crowd. You dont burn your game 5 starter as a game 4 reliever when you are up 3-0. This would be a reckless panic move and there is no reason for it

Shout out to the people that aren’t fans of the Brewers or the Rays, but they’re still up at midnight watching the 12th inning of the World Series because it might be the last chance to watch baseball for 5 months. The true baseball fans.

The reactions towards gerrit cole is puzzling. He gave up a solo HR and thats it. The pitching was fantastic last night the yankees just couldnt do a thing off rasmussen like thats baseball. Do y'all watch games or do you just come on here to complain and look stupid?

Lose a competitive well pitched 1-0 game and 3/4 of yankee twitter wants to give up like y'all are such weak minded bitches. The AL Cy young winner goes in game 2. The goal is to split the road games and thats still attainable...stop whining like babies

Interesting read and a reminder that the yankees (and every team) always knows more then the twitter doomers do
Both Matt Blake and Aaron Boone said they are starting Gerrit Cole over Carlos RodΓ³n because they "like" Cole at Tropicana Field. What does that mean? It turns out there's a hidden scientific reason that goes much deeper than the "easy" decision. Free: nytimes.com/athletic/7653503…
