NEW SIGNING 🔴⚪️ The gaffer has been a busy man this week and adds another player to the squad. Market Drayton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Brodie McLeod from Dawley Town. Brodie is a physical midfielder that will add strength to the squad. Welcome to Market Drayton Town Brodie 🔴⚪️ Brodie on signing for the Gingerbread men 🗣️ Really excited to get going at Drayton, I feel like I can offer something different to the team which is something we are lacking and I will do my all to help us push on and achieve the goals set by the gaffer for the end of the season Gaffers Comments 🗣️ “I’m really pleased to welcome Brodie to Market Drayton. Brodie is a player who brings something different to our midfield. He’s extremely versatile, comfortable playing anywhere across the middle of the park, but what really stands out to me is his aggression, tenacity and willingness to get stuck in. He’s the type of player who doesn’t shy away from a challenge, enjoys the physical side of the game and is prepared to do the dirty work for the team. That’s something I believe we need more of, particularly at this level. He joins us from Dawley with a real opportunity to make his mark, and I’m looking forward to seeing him bring that energy, bite and competitiveness into our midfield. Another really positive addition to the squad as we continue strengthening the group and pushing this football club forward.”

🔴⚪ NEW SIGNING 🔴⚪️ Market Drayton Town FC are delighted to welcome Justin Iwobi to the club. A powerful 6ft 5in centre-forward with experience in the professional and non-league game, Justin has come through Stoke City’s academy and featured for FC Halifax Town, Bradford Park Avenue, Farsley Celtic, Mickleover and Avro. Strong, athletic and with the potential to cause opposition defences serious problems, Justin arrives at Drayton ready to make his mark! We believe he can bring something special to our forward line and we can’t wait to see him in the red and white! 🔴⚪ Lloydy had this to say 🗣️ “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Justin to Market Drayton Town. This is a massive signing for the football club and one that I believe really demonstrates our ambition and the direction we want to take this team. Justin is a player with enormous potential, but equally important is the fact that he’s already experienced football at a very good level. Standing at around 6ft 4/6ft 5, he has all the attributes you could possibly want in a centre-forward. He’s powerful, quick, technically gifted and extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet. He’s a player who can cause defenders all sorts of problems, and I have absolutely no doubt that he has the ability to score a lot of goals at this level. He joins us having recently recovered from an injury, but what has really impressed me is his determination and the work he’s been putting in behind the scenes to come back stronger, fitter and better than before. That hunger and mentality are exactly what I want from players representing this football club. I genuinely believe we’ve secured a player that many clubs at our level, and even clubs competing higher up the football pyramid, would love to have in their squad. Players with Justin’s combination of physical presence, pace, technical ability and goalscoring potential are incredibly difficult to find. For me, this isn’t just about bringing in another striker. It’s about bringing in a player who has the potential to make a real difference to our season and become a huge part of what we’re trying to build here. We’re under no illusions that Justin will need a little time to get back to his very best following his injury, and we’ll make sure we manage that properly. But once he’s fully up to speed, I genuinely believe we’ve got a very special player on our hands. I’m absolutely buzzing to get working with him, and I think our supporters have every reason to be excited about seeing him in a Market Drayton shirt.” Player comments 🗣️ I’m a 6ft 5 centre forward I’d describe myself as powerful quick and a good eye for goal. I’m so glad to be here… I’ve spoken with the First team manager lloydy for a while now and he’s building something I want to be apart of and he’s a manager who has a clear understanding of how we are going to achieve that. I want to help push the club to the highest possible position this season and I know through scoring plenty of goals I can be a big asset to the club, really happy to be here and can’t wait to get going!
