One healthcare reform I would push for as an internal medicine physician:
When a private health insurer refuses to cover medically necessary treatment and that decision causes a patient harm, the insurance company should face the same medical malpractice liability as the healthcare professionals responsible for treating that patient.
You shouldn’t be able to make decisions that jeopardize someone’s life and walk away without accountability.
Teams are somehow calling and asking for Quentin Johnston and the Chargers are turning them down. You can’t make this up smh.

Just gonna leave this here as a reminder
When I contacted the @BlueJays to ask for a comment beyond the generic statement and asked if they had steps to address the hurt they have caused Muslim fans, VP of Baseball Comms (Adam Felton) said, "we have nothing further to share."

Teams actually wanna take Quentin Johnston ($18M next season) off our hands but Jim Harbaugh won’t give up on the season at 0-7
𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: The 0-7 Chargers have still not shown a willingness to trade off players despite heavy interest in Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipulotu and Quentin Johnston, per @JFowlerESPN
The Chargers aren’t giving up on their season yet, but teams think they’ll eventually cave and make some trades.

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

I swear the Chargers have the beat reporters in the league. We are 0-7 and these are the questions they are asking smh. This is why ownership gets away with murder year after year.

Everyone IRL keeps asking me what’s going on with the Chargers. I’ve only got so many “haha yeah I don’t know” left in me. Please leave me alone.
