Dunstable Town FC 1️⃣ – 2️⃣ AFC Welwyn Three points on the road but not our best showing. The lads started well with a great opening goal, but we dropped our levels and allowed Dunstable into the game. We move forward with the win and keep pushing on ⚔️ ⚽️ Markel Cousins ⚽️ Daniel Sears 📣 From the Gaffer: “Bit of a lacklustre performance. We never really got going. Dunstable kept the ball and played some nice stuff without hurting us and we done enough to stop them. Great first goal, opening 10 minutes we were good. Then dropped our levels and allowed them in the game. Thankfully we got the 3 points. MOTM was Ash. Id agree with that. He done all his works to the high standards he set.” MOTM was Ashton Broome-Alexander outstanding between the sticks once again 💪🏽 Main Media Parter: @LLHerts

AFC Welwyn 2️⃣ - 0️⃣ Haringey Borough FC A fantastic team performance under the lights sees us claim all 3 points! Goals, grit, and a clean sheet...a perfect night for the Romans. 💪⚔️ ⚽️⚽️ Coree Wilson 📣 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿: “Excellent performance from the boys last night. Worked hard, rode their luck but showed a work ethic that I demand. They put a lot into Fridays game when we had 10 men so I was a little worried we wouldn’t be able to match the levels we produced. Thankfully we did and we got stronger as the game went on. Haringey battered us first 20 minutes but we held firm and second half I’d say we were the better side. Our first goal was a lovely team move and we probably should have been further ahead before Coree wrapped it up in the last minute. So many good performances, Uz, Coree, Keys, the 2 centre halfs but... MOTM goes to @Markelcousins2 , he really stood out, his work rate and tenacity epitomised all that we wanted in the team. Superb performance.” #uptheromans #nonleaguefootball Home 👕 sponsor @therisegroup__ & @kchraccountancy

Sawbridgeworth Town 1️⃣ – 2️⃣ AFC Welwyn A hard-fought battle on the road ends with all 3 points coming back to Welwyn! 💙🩷 Goals from the Romans sealed the win and kept the momentum rolling ⚔️ ⚽️ Jordan Abraham-Wright ⚽️ Reece Cameron 📣 From the Gaffer: “We knew this would be a tricky fixture. Sawbridgeworth have started really well and it’s a tough place to go. The pitch wasn’t great and the wind was howling which meant it wasn’t going to be pretty. We started ok and were in control. Then we scored and decided to stop doing all the things that win you games on tough pitches. Sawbridgworth got right back in the game and deservedly got the equaliser. Half time came at the right time for us. Second half we managed the game better and got the all important goal through a great move involving Courtney, Sammy and finished by Cammy. Pleased for Cammy as he’s had to watch Coree take the plaudits the last few games. He’s a cold killer. MOTM - Easy one Sammy Nics. Superb from start to finish in attack and defense. Also set up the winner. Massively important man in our squad!!” #uptheromans Away 👕 sponsor @HertsAirCon
