Tonight I was at the Accra International Airport to warmly welcome my great friend and brother, His Excellency Jeenbek Kulubayev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The distinguished Kyrgyz top diplomat is in Ghana for a two-day official visit at my invitation.
He is the first Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan to visit Ghana just as I became the first Foreign Minister of Ghana to visit Kyrgyzstan in March this year.
Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev was a strong supporter and campaigner for the historic Ghana-led UN resolution declaring the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.
With Ghanaโs support Kyrgyzstan was this year elected to the UN Security Council.
We shall expand the frontiers of our cooperation and agree on further strategic collaboration in the multilateral arena during this historic visit.
