Speaking in Iran, academic and regime critic Sadegh Zibakalam tells Krishnan Guru-Murthy that democracy cannot be imposed overnight, and that lasting reform must come gradually.
Despite being banned from teaching and facing pressure from hardliners, he says he remains hopeful about Iran’s future and can still see “light at the end of the dark tunnel.”

Jimmy Kimmel’s show has returned to air - with his opening monologue a balance between sharp attacks on the administration, and an earnest approach to the killing of Charlie Kirk.
The ABC Disney conglomerate suspending him indefinitely last week, after the broadcast regulator, the FCC, urged local stations to boycott Kimmel.
President Trump has been defending his FCC chairman, and batting back accusations that the threat to free speech comes from the oval office - and also speculating about removing licences of networks that screen content, including news programming, that is in his view, unfair.
