“How are you feeling today?” A simple question that can make a big difference in a child’s life.
Sometimes, children feel big emotions but don’t know how to explain them. They might feel happy one moment, anxious the next, or even angry without understanding why. And that’s okay! 🥹
This “How Are You Feeling?” chart helps children identify their emotions, put their feelings into words, and understand that every emotion deserves to be acknowledged.
We can help our little ones build emotional awareness by creating a safe space where they can express themselves without fear of judgment.
✨ Try asking your child today:
“What feeling best describes your heart right now?”
Remember, we don’t need to fix every feeling. Sometimes, our children just need us to listen, understand, and remind them that it’s okay to feel what they feel. 💕

Teaching kids to love themselves starts with the little things we teach them every day...
Every child deserves to know that they are enough, even when they make mistakes, struggle with challenges, or feel different from others. 🌱
We can help children build self-love by reminding them to embrace who they are, speak up for their needs, celebrate their progress, and focus on what they can control.
Let's raise children who understand that their worth isn't measured by perfection, comparison, or the approval of others. They are worthy of love simply because they are themselves. ❤️

Sometimes, the little things we do without thinking can leave a lasting impression on our children...
When we dismiss their feelings, keep postponing their stories, compare them to others, or only notice their mistakes, they may quietly begin to wonder if they truly matter.
Children need more than food, shelter, and education. They also need to feel seen, heard, accepted, and loved for who they are.
You don't have to get everything right as a parent. Start with small moments: listen when they speak, acknowledge their feelings, celebrate their efforts, and remind them that their voice matters.
Because a child who feels important at home learns that their feelings, thoughts, and presence matter in this world, too.

Your son has been filling it every morning. You haven't had the heart to stop him.
You don't have to.
Kids often grieve in small routines instead of big talks. The bowl might be his way of saying goodbye.
Tonight, you could sit with him and just say, "You really miss him, don't you?"
And when he asks where he went, use plain words: "He died. His body stopped working, and he can't come back." Softer phrases like "he went to sleep" can make some kids scared to fall asleep themselves.
It's okay for him to see you sad too. That's how he learns grief is something we get through together.

Every day, our little ones hear messages from the world around them...but the most important voice they'll ever listen to is their own.
Teaching kids positive self-talk helps them:
✨ Build resilience
✨ Develop a growth mindset
✨ Nurture self-compassion
✨ Face challenges with courage
Replace "I can't do this" with "I can't do this YET."
Replace "I'm not good enough" with "I'm learning and growing."
Replace "This is too hard" with "I'll try my best."
Let's help our children become their own biggest cheerleader! 🏆

School pressure doesn't always look like struggling grades. Sometimes, it looks like a child who cries over small mistakes, worries constantly about exams, or says, "I'm fine," when they're really overwhelmed. 💛
Children may feel pressure to get high grades, meet expectations, keep up with classmates, or make their parents proud.
As parents and caregivers, let's remember that our children are more than their grades, awards, and achievements.
Create a safe space where they can talk about their struggles without fear of disappointment. Listen, offer reassurance, and remind them that mistakes are part of learning.
Because raising a confident child isn't just about helping them succeed in school. It's also about helping them feel safe when they struggle. 🫶
What matters most isn't just how well they do, but how supported they feel along the way.

Your child may not always tell you when they feel insecure. 😥
Sometimes, it shows up in the way they doubt themselves, fear making mistakes, or hesitate to express their feelings.
Small everyday interactions can shape how children see themselves. Constant comparisons, harsh criticism, and dismissed emotions may slowly affect their confidence.
The good news? Small changes in how we speak, listen, and respond can help children feel safer, valued, and confident in who they are.
Let's raise children who don't have to question their worth to feel loved. 🫶

Introducing the Worry Jar! 🫙✨
What if your child had a special place to put their worries instead of carrying them around all day?
The Worry Jar is a simple mental health activity that helps children write down their worries, release some of their anxious thoughts, and learn to set aside time to process their feelings.
✨ How to use the Worry Jar Worksheet:
📝 Write down each worries in the jar.
⏰ Set aside 10–15 minutes of worry time each day.
💗 Once the time is up then your child's worry time is over for the day.
Remember, the goal isn’t to dismiss your child’s worries. It’s to teach them that worries can be acknowledged and managed, one little step at a time.
Because every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. 💕

We've all said it. We want to take the fear away.
Then the needle goes in, it hurts, and your child looks at you like you lied. Because you did, a little.
Next time, try the truth: "Yes, it will pinch for a second. Then it's done. I'll be right here, and you can squeeze my hand as hard as you want."
Kids handle pain better when they know what's coming. And they learn they can believe you when you tell them something will be okay.

Your child may be worrying more about what others think than you realize. 😥
Fear of judgment can make children afraid to speak up, try something new, make mistakes, or show their true feelings.
Sometimes, what looks like shyness or a lack of confidence is a child quietly wondering, “What if they don’t like me?”
As parents and caregivers, we can help by creating a safe space where children know they don’t have to be perfect to be accepted.
✨ Encourage them to express their thoughts.
✨ Celebrate their courage, not just their achievements.
✨ Remind them that mistakes are part of learning.
✨ Show them that their worth isn't determined by other people's opinions.
Your child doesn't need to impress everyone. They need to know they are loved even when they don't.

Your teen may not always know how to say what’s in their heart. Sometimes, behind the silence, frustration, or “I’m fine,” there are feelings they’re still trying to understand.
They need more than advice. They need to know their worth isn't measured by grades, that their feelings matter, and that they can come to you without fear of being judged.
You don't have to be a perfect parent.
Just keep showing up, listening with patience, and reminding them that your love isn't something they have to earn. 💕
Save this as a reminder, and share it with a parent who needs to hear this today.

Sometimes, children don’t tell us they’re hurting. They show us in other ways. 💛
They say they’re fine. They become unusually quiet. They get upset over little things. Or they keep smiling so no one notices what they’re carrying inside.
As parents and caregivers, it’s important to remember that not every child knows how to express sadness, fear, anxiety, or disappointment.
Instead of assuming they’re okay, create moments where they feel safe enough to tell you the truth.
You don’t always need the perfect words. Sometimes, your patience, gentle questions, and willingness to listen are enough to help them feel less alone.
Your child doesn’t have to hide their feelings to earn your love. ♥️

Anger is often just the tip of the iceberg. 🧊💙
When a child gets angry, it’s easy to focus on the behavior we see. But underneath that anger, there may be feelings they don’t know how to express yet.
They might be feeling embarrassed, scared, worried, exhausted, jealous, or even hungry. Sometimes, anger is their way of saying, “I’m struggling, and I don’t know how to tell you.”
Instead of asking, “Why are you acting this way?” try asking, “What might be going on underneath that anger?”
💙 Help your child name their feelings.
💙 Listen before correcting their behavior.
💙 Create a safe space for them to express what’s really bothering them.
Remember, validating your child’s feelings doesn’t mean accepting every behavior.
It means helping them understand their emotions while teaching them healthier ways to respond.

Sometimes kids don’t have the words to explain what they’re feeling...but creative activities can help them express it. 💛
Singing, dancing, drumming, creating rhythms, or simply drawing what they hear can give children a safe, creative, and fun outlet for emotions.
You don’t need fancy instruments either. Everyday objects, clapping, movement, and their own voice can become part of the experience.
Give your child space to explore, create, and express. Sometimes, what they can’t say… they can sing, move, or make. 🎵🎨

What looks like high achievement may sometimes be a child quietly struggling with perfectionism. 💛
They may be afraid of making mistakes, frustrated when things don’t go as planned, or avoid trying because they’re scared of getting it wrong.
Children need to know that their worth isn’t measured by perfect grades, perfect behavior, or always getting things right.
As parents and caregivers, we can help build confidence, resilience, healthy self-esteem, and emotional well-being by reminding them:
“You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep learning and trying.”
Let’s create a space where children feel safe to make mistakes, ask for help, and grow. 🌱
💬 Save this as a reminder: progress matters more than perfection.

Sometimes, it’s the little things we do as parents that can quietly shape how our children see themselves.
A frustrated response to a mistake.
A comparison to another child.
Stepping in before they get the chance to try.
Over time, these moments can make a child question their abilities, confidence, self-esteem, and worth.
Your child doesn’t need a perfect parent.
They need a parent who makes them feel safe enough to try, fail, learn, and try again. 💛
Instead of, “You should know this by now,” try:
“It’s okay not to know yet. Let’s figure it out together.”
Small changes in the way we respond can help build resilience, confidence, and a healthier mindset in children.

Sometimes, our children aren’t looking for advice, solutions, or answers.
They just want to know that we’re there. ❤️
In the middle of busy days, unfinished tasks, and endless distractions, it’s easy to say, “In a minute.”
But that little story they’re telling you?
That random question?
That moment they want to show you something?
It matters to them.
So pause when you can. Look up.
Put the phone down. Listen.
Because when children feel heard today, they learn that their feelings and their voice matter. And that’s something they can carry with them for years to come. 🫶
Sometimes, listening is one of the most loving things we can give.

“How are you feeling today?” may sound like a simple question, but for a child, it can open the door to feelings they don’t yet know how to express.
Sometimes kids don’t need us to fix what they’re feeling. They need a safe space to name it, talk about it, and know that their feelings are okay.
Try using our 'How are you feeling today?' chart as part of your child’s daily routine.
Ask them to choose a feeling, then gently ask:
“What made you feel that way?”
“What do you need right now?”
Small conversations today can help children build emotional awareness, confidence, and healthy coping skills for tomorrow. 🫶

“I’m sorry… Are you mad at me?” 💔
Sometimes, a child’s fear of disappointing you doesn’t look like fear at all.
It can look like hiding mistakes, constantly apologizing, becoming afraid to ask for help, or putting intense pressure on themselves to always get things right.
Behind it may be a simple worry:
“What if I’m not good enough for Mom or Dad?”
Children need boundaries and guidance, but they also need to know that making mistakes will never make them less loved.
Let your child hear:
❤️ “You can always tell me the truth.”
❤️ “You don’t have to be perfect.”
❤️ “I’m proud of you for trying.”
❤️ “A mistake doesn’t change how much I love you.”
When children feel safe to fail, they can learn, grow, build confidence, and develop healthier self-esteem.
Your child doesn’t need to earn your love. They need to feel secure in it.
