The London Borough of Barnet which is twinned with 8 towns across 3 continents
It is further linked by correspondence to two other towns as well: Jinja in Uganda and Barnet in the state of Vermont in the USA

Ever noticed a “twinned with” sign and wondered if there’s a fascinating tale about British twin towns in general?

The only question remains is why Barnet has so many, its 8 only equalled by Hammersmith & Fulham and Haringey
Perhaps partially because so many leafy, more cosmopolitan boroughs were merged and they brought them together (4 from Finchley, 1 from Friern Barnet and 1 from Hendon)
A new development with a twinning with the city of Haifa
Barnet must now be one of the most twinned places in the country

Considering Edgware is literally named for its fishing (Edgware = Ecgi's weir meaning an Saxon man's fishing pond) it's a shame that its water ways are in such mediocre shape (though in line with what most of the country looks like)

Can anyone recognise this farm house currently on display at Bushey Museum?
