Melissa, Roshawn, and Ackera were supposed to cheer the kids on during their races but it was cancelled due to weather. Once things were clear these three just stood outside the gate and did an unplanned 90 minute autograph signing — we appreciate these athletes so much!

I know athletes being paid is the whole thing but I gotta say. The investment GST made into our media team also a refreshing change!!

People keep saying “Sponsor him”. Newsflash: He is sponsored! That’s the problem. For some athletes relying totally on a sponsor isn’t enough. You need to earn real money competing. Sponsorship should be only part of it.

One thing I want to do with @GrandSlamTrack is honor the legends who inspired the next! We started in Kingston with Asafa, Justin, and others. Here we have Gwen Torrence, @SanyaRichiRoss, @VCampbellBrown, and Valerie Brisco-Hooks. You will see legends honored at every slam.

Josh Kerr was the first male athlete to sign with @grandslamtrack in June 2024 and has fully bought into @MJGold's vision and the league’s push for competition among the best of the best. He underperformed at the inaugural stop in Kingston but stormed back to win the 1500m, claim enough points and a 1:45.01 personal best in the 800m to win his first Slam title.
That’s $100,000 but also a step forward for the reigning 1500m World Champion.
