Anthropic will follow OpenAI, but $500 isn't even the limit. We will see a $ 1,000 subscription next year. The cost of building data centres and training these models will keep going up. Enterprises already start building local models for privacy and cost reasons; the only other way for them to make money is through consumers and solving hard problems, but sending millions of agents to solve these problems will fail so many times before making progress and every run they are just burning money they can't afford to burn.
