OPPOSITION TO THE OPPOSITION…
Leading a credible alternative and genuinely challenging an entrenched dictatorship is a demanding, costly and often perilous undertaking. It is certainly no walk in the park.
It requires tenacity, conviction, courage, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to the cause. Perhaps this is precisely why some find it easier to position themselves as the ‘opposition to the opposition’ rather than confront the difficult realities of challenging an entrenched system of power.
It is less costly, less demanding, less stressful and certainly less risky to be the opposition to the opposition.
But genuine political leadership demands more than criticism of those seeking change. It requires the courage to challenge the status quo, the discipline to build a credible alternative and the determination to translate the aspirations of citizens into a viable pathway to government.
The ultimate responsibility is not simply to oppose the opposition, but to confront the system that makes genuine opposition. Do better. Don’t just be the opposition to the opposition. #TheNew #FreshStart #Godisinit

This must be where General Chiwenga got his Chinhoyi conference speech. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yesterday, we met with vendors to hear how Operation Chenesa and the crackdown on informal trading are affecting their livelihoods. I heard heartbreaking stories. We need balance. We cannot have a clean country at the expense of hungry families. Enforcement must be matched with practical, affordable alternatives for people to trade legally and earn a living with dignity.

Today, the President came to Parliament to deliver the State of the Nation Address. However, the President missed an opportunity to speak directly to the economic realities facing majority of Zimbabweans.
The President has been celebrating low inflation, but Zimbabweans have not been spared the rising cost of living. The cost of food, transport, and rent has continued to put pressure on household incomes.
Secondly, the President has celebrated economic growth, but in reality, the benefits of that growth are being felt by only a few, while the majority of Zimbabweans continue to struggle to meet their basic needs.
Zimbabweans are tired of economic statistics that do not translate into tangible improvements in their lives. What matters to ordinary people is whether the economy is putting food on their tables, creating decent jobs, and improving their quality of life. #SONA

My brother, Tshisekedi has never been elected in DRC! The 1st election he had a paltry 15%! Three PRESIDENTS know this fact! President’s Ramaphosa, Uhuru Kenyatta and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of EGYPT. It’s not a secret but a FACT
Meanwhile, in another SADC country, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), protesters took to the streets yesterday against an attempt by President Félix Tshisekedi to change the constitution and remove the two-term limit, opening the way for him to run for a third term.
Demonstrations organised by the opposition C64 coalition took place in Kinshasa and other cities, with police firing tear gas and warning shots as clashes broke out between government and opposition supporters.
Tshisekedi, first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, said he would accept a third term if the people wanted it, a stance his opponents view as part of a broader effort to entrench his hold on power.
With no moral authority to challenge him from other SADC countries that have allowed similar things to happen, such as term extensions in Zimbabwe and election rigging in Mozambique and Tanzania. Nobody outside the DRC will be able to stop Tshisekedi except the Congolese themselves.
