I still think it would’ve been smarter to have prime Nelson protecting your next QB, but whatever, Indy needed a restart anyway.
Another 3rd and 5th for the next GM and hopefully we see more trades coming soon. Sell just about anyone that garners interest

I criticized the Colts for the worst trade of 2025, giving up two firsts for Sauce Gardner.
But getting a 3rd (and a 5th) for Nelson on an expiring contract -- they were going to lose him in two months regardless -- is good work by their front office.

Just thinking out loud. I've seen some folks saying Jonathan Taylor should be a player Carlie Irsay-Gordon builds around next year. He's a top-5 RB who's suffered w/mediocre team. But he'll be 28 next season w/300 more carries on his body. To me, that's not a building block.

Jay-Z is a former drug dealer that raps profanity and threw gay parties with Diddy, and now he's the Super Bowl Halftime performer? What are we doing?

Incredible!! Thank you @GovRonDeSantis John Anderson would be so humbled by this...he loved Florida with everything he had! What a great honor.
Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida.
I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage.
In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

With the Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner trades, the Colts have cleared over $17.7 million in cash and salary cap space while adding two picks in 2027 (3rd and 4th rounders) and one in 2028 (5th). A significant day in what will be a major rebuild under a new GM in 2027.
Reunion! The Colts are trading three-time Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
Buckner came to San Francisco as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016. A decade later, he’s back.

Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

Bingo. If a guard is your team’s best/second best player that’s a problem. Love Big Q and I’ll definitely miss him but this roster just isn’t good enough so trading him had to be done

I wish we could just start the offseason right now. New GM, New HC, New QB. Over 100 million in cap space and an opportunity to turn over a roster that desperately needs it.
Just gotta wait 10 more weeks for this sadly

The issue with Anthony Richardson is that I think his coach lost all faith in him. Wrong right or indifferent. The last incident is the latest issue. Do I care about weed and an expired registration? Hell no, but those are terrible optics from a franchise QB, and just another question mark when it comes to maturity and trust. I don’t think he’s a bad person, just immature.
Do I hope he’s eventually successful in the league? Yes, I absolutely do.
He has a lot of growing up to do though.
