All this. @abreezeclayton deserves credit for writing a new playbook and authentically understanding rural voters and connecting candidates with these voters.

When no one believed her, Anderson Clayton said she would flip NC blue as state party chair and now look at the results. She deserves credit where credit is due. The on the ground organization in all 100 counties made the difference @abreezeclayton

This is what we fight for in NC.

All across North Carolina, Republican voter turnout has cratered so much that the Democrats have a shot at flipping legislative races long seen as just out of reach.
Here are a few such "dark horse" races to keep your eyes on tomorrow. If any of these run close, or even flip, that's a signal that North Carolina has hit "blue tsunami" levels.
👉 HD-75 (eastern Forsyth): Donny Lambeth (R, incumbent) is in trouble against Jen Wiles. HD-74, western Forsyth, is probably going to flip tomorrow.
👉 HD-43 (eastern Cumberland): Diane Wheatley (R, incumbent) faces a deep vote deficit against Janene Ackles.
👉 HD-59 (eastern Guilford): Alan Branson (R, incumbent) is in the same position against Elma Hairston.
👉 HD-10 (Wayne): John Bell (R, incumbent) ditto, against Zyaire Webb.
👉 HD-7 (Franklin/Vance): Open seat. The Democrats' recruit there, Mark Speed, is a well-known name.
👉 HD-117 (Henderson): this is the seat @JenBalkcom vacated so she could lose to @JamieAgerNC. Democratic challenger is Lynne Russo.
In the Senate, keep your eyes on SD-4 (Wilson, Wayne, Greene). @Buck_Newton (R incumbent) is in serious trouble against Democratic challenger Jess Rivera. If she pulls off an upset against Newton, she'd be the Democrats' 24th Senate seat.
If the NC House flips, it will be because of six years of deep investment in voter outreach, an unprecedented coalition of grassroots groups, long term planning and fundraising and @abreezeclayton.
This is not a fluke, this is what deep commitment looks like.

Nursing home CEO Paul Walczak pocketed the taxes from his workers' paychecks and blew it on a $2M yacht, travel & Cartier.
He got 18 months in prison. Then his mom went to a $1M-a-plate Trump dinner. 3 weeks later: FULL pardon. This is the most corrupt White House in US history.

Mind-numbingly stupid for the Globe parrot the claim that jungle primaries will address the problem of the number of uncontested elections.
An election is only contested if a second candidate runs. Increasing the cost of the election deters candidate #2.
