The MSU rice field day will be Aug. 8, at 3:30. in the Capps Center in Stoneville. Topics will include agronomy, economics, entomology, pathology, breeding, and weed control, and field tours. The day will conclude with a reception that will be held at Delta Council at 5:45.

A DREC grad student, Dave Spencer, was recently awarded a national scholarship; the Future Leaders in Science scholarship. It allows students to engage with national policy-makers to raise awareness and support for science, technology, and research funding.
