I feel like wrestling fans who cannot at least appreciate a good squash match - and this is one of the best squash matches ever for the record - fundamentally just do not get wrestling.
There was a guy who was genuinely mad about me saying this was a 5 star match yesterday. Insane to me. I could watch this match every 6 hours for the rest of my life

If the CEO of KFC stopped working tomorrow, the company would still make money. If the cooks stopped working tomorrow, KFC wouldn't make a dime. You can't tell me the people doing the actual work don't deserve a living wage.

I don't care how normalised Gen-ai becomes in society, I will ALWAYS have a zero tolerance policy on it. Fuck ai and fuck the people who use it
I hate that not liking generative AI is considered an opinion, it's just so evil why can't people see that, even people I care about so so much, why can't they see, why are they being so tolerant of it, it hurts so much

People who think Bret couldn't talk are the same folks that confuse "charisma" with "loud."
This might be controversial and I am not saying he is greatest at all but man, Bret can really cut a promo. I always enjoyed his mic work purely because he made me believe every word he said and felt genuine.

cagematch being primarily engaged with as a ratings service (which its not optimised for and is rarely interesting) does a lot to distract from it being perhaps the most comprehensive record of grapply happening ever
You don’t realize how useful a resource cagematch is until it’s down.

You all need to understand that there is a well-funded movement to kill Wikipedia as an institution. The dream of an internet that provided universal access to knowledge was a mirage. It threatened too many powerful people, so now we have AI summaries and illiteracy.
Can we also talk about how Wikipedia entries are no longer at the top of a search 😭

I don’t care what anyone says, Bret Hart, especially 1997 WWF Bret is a Top 10 goat of all time.

said this before but the idea that Bret isn't charismatic is just fed and Kliq bullshit Bret's promos are great for the same reason his wrestling was great, he respected his audience enough not to insult their intelligence by constantly reminding them it's fake

Bret was uncomfortable cutting generic "Babyface Top Guy" promos when Vince micromanaged him in the early 90s. When Vince changed his philosophy to just let guys cook & speak from the heart in the Attitude Era, Bret was one of the best promos in the biz.

People who've spent their lives developing skills, expanding their knowledge, and feeding their talent aren't pissed off that suddenly anyone and everyone can have those same skills, knowledge and talent. They're pissed off that talentless clueless idiots THINK they suddenly do.
Here’s something the anti-AI crowd won’t like: Some people with absolutely no artistic background are now creating things they could only dream about five years ago. Is the problem really AI, or that creativity is no longer reserved for a select few?

He is absolutely right. AI will never understand the human condition which is why AI will always be inferior to humans in a human world.
Mark Cuban says AI isn't smart, and he'd trust a seeing-eye dog over it to get across the street "AI is not smart. It just knows how to use statistics basically to predict the next word. It’s predictive. It’s not deterministic. If you asked 4 different AIs the same question, you’re going to get 4 different answers" "AI doesn’t know the consequences of its actions. AI doesn’t have inherent ethics" "If I’m standing at a 4-way intersection and there’s cars going back and forth, and I have video in my phone and the best models ever, and I have a seeing-eye dog right here, I’m letting the seeing-eye dog take me across the street before I let the AI take me across the street. It’s always going to be behind" "A 2-year-old sitting on a high chair with a sippy cup knows that if it pushes the sippy cup off the high chair, Mom’s going to come running, and it knows it’s going to crack up. AI is not going to figure that out ever"

In 5-10 years, "No AI" or "Zero AI" will be a badge of honor for companies, like "eco-friendly" or "plastic-free" or "no GMO" is today. It’ll be a mark of distinction.

The whole point of a minimum wage is to ensure ppl can afford a basic standard of living. If someone working full-time still can’t afford rent and food, then the minimum wage has failed at the very thing it was created to do.

bret’s last year in the wwf was so insane -birthed vince mcmahon the onscreen character -put over & catapulted a hungry mid carder in steve austin -mentored a young dwayne behind the scenes -use real life frustrations onscreen and unintentionally birthed the attitude era 🐐

I'll put Bret Hart's year run from Survivor Series 96 to Survivor Series 97 as one of the greatest year of any superstar in WWF history.
