About 2 years ago there was a bar trivia question where the answer was Numa Numa, and I was the only one who got it right (and immediately). I felt like I was in a different universe.
This was in suburban Florida, but still.
It’s disappointing coming back from a country where the US Dollar is strong, because now things just cost exactly what they say they do

Sovereignty is a non-negotiable for bringing global finance onchain.
Optimism's core innovation is enabling sovereignty alongside trustless multiparty transactions.
Companies want to control their own economics and user experience.
That means they can set their own:
+ Fees
+ Tx ordering
+ Compliance rules
They also want access to a shared economy - on their own terms.
That's exactly what you get with an OP Stack chain + Interoperability.
Update: I am joining the @cognition team as the new Head of Industries, after selling Native Markets’ USDH to Coinbase.
I've known @ScottWu46 since he was a beta tester of Uniswap products and have been bullish on Devin since the first demo. I couldn’t be more excited to drive this next step.
I am hiring entrepreneurs who've been building on hard mode to join a team that will transform how every vertical builds software.
If you’re a founder or operator who has shipped and sold products in the real world, and you have a vision for what’s now possible in your industry with AI, shoot me a DM. I’d love to chat.
Most common US sports merch observed in Australia & New Zealand:
1. Yankees
2. Raiders
3. Pirates
4. Red Sox
5. Dodgers
Raiders and Pirates make 0 sense. Red Sox surprised me. I’ve seen knockoff Yankees and Dodgers hats in gift shops where the letters don’t interlock and lol’d
Food empires observed in Australia & New Zealand that we need to agressively bring to the US:
- Yo-Chi (1 location in Dallas?)
- Ferg (burger/baker/Mrs/bar)
- Thisbowl (a few locations in NYC!)
- Common Supply
- Sushi Hub (and equivalents)
- Lox in a Box (Lox Sox hat is elite)

below, @0xStoleme, then at @Optimism, taking a chance on a bunch of anon unknowns with nothing between them but ideas
these ideas we were kicking around then remain the foundation of everything we're releasing now
few people then saw things how we do and they are precious to us
1/ veDAO has some of the sharpest individuals that I've had the pleasure of working with.
Excited to have these gigachads build on Optimism! They understand the flaws of Solidly better than anyone else & have worked hard to solve its implementation gaps

When interviewers ask “do you have any questions for me?” at the end:
I’m just going to ask them “do you think ‘Who’s on First’ is funny, and if so why?”
Crypto tokenomics walked, so Anthropic’s equity structure could run
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit.
It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion.
In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding.
In the post below, we share more details about our new fund.
