Amorim and Carrick were given two completely different jobs.
Amorim was brought in to implement a style of play - to reset habits, build structure, and change the identity of the team.
That takes time. It also costs points in the short term.
Carrick, on the other hand, is here for six months with one clear objective: get United into the Champions League. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Short-term coaching is about maximising points.
Long-term coaching is about building something sustainable.
That’s why Carrick can collect more points with the same players Amorim was rebuilding.
Amorim refused to take the easy route - sitting deep, playing safe, chasing quick fixes. He stuck to the process even when it hurt him.
Some fans look at the table.
Others look at the direction.
That’s the difference.

Would you rather see United relegated if it meant the Glazers finally sold the club, or keep watching this club rot while they continue to bleed it dry?

🚨🚨Unpopular opinion; Jason Wilcox should be made the head coach at Manchester United.
Jason Wilcox should be appointed the coach of Manchester United since he wants control and likes to interfere with the work of every coach.
He will bring in the players for his football and play whatever style of play he wants to see at United while saving money for the club.
A true coach at heart.

Man Utd went 26yrs without the PL trophy until they hired SAF and gave him 6yrs before winning his 1st PL trophy.
Meaning why sacking Carrick now when they can give him 6yrs like they did with SAF?
Truth is we’ve been sacking managers and still we’re getting worse every season.
🚨 - NEW:
Eddie Howe is FULLY OPEN to joining Manchester United as their new manager.

This Eddie Howe hype is very funny. Very very funny and incomprehensible.
In November 2021, he inherited a 19th place team and finished 11th. (Good job)
The next season he finished 4th.
2024, he finished 7th
2025, he finished 5th
Last season he was finally sacked at 12th. (Very bad one; got a team to 11th in his first and left at 12th in his last 🤷♂️)
There’s no consistent pattern of progress throughout his tenure at Newcastle. And I also didn’t see him play good football at Newcastle. He only got physical players and their physicality helped him a lot.
You can easily say he left because Newcastle sold Tonali, Gordon and Bruno G but these were the same players he used when he finished 12th. So that excuse is a lie.
The only reason Manchester United board and fans are so full of this guy is because he’s English. He can easily be a puppet for INEOS and I’m sure it’s why they are interested in him more than Julian Nagelsmann.
Julian Nagelsmann is a better option than this Eddie Howe guy, I understand he did a lot at Newcastle but he only did those because Newcastle over spent and they always left him a fat budget.
Manchester United doesn’t have a Newcastle-like budget and it’s why he would definitely struggle.

This is not Amorim revisionism btw.
People need to actually understanding how building success works.
There is an accumulation period where you get zero results.
Because you are building foundations.
The foundations to:
1. Sustain pressure in the future
2. Produce results and not get complacent
3. Discipline to actually produce those results
4. Turn a bad run of games without destroying the squad.
Anyone who has succeeded at anything major in their lives knows this.
You go through a period of pain and iteration.
The issue is we have too many swipers.
The moment they don't get what they want, they SWIPE.
This is why everything is shit today.
Music, movies, relationships.
Everything.
People have zero patience.
They want to be a millionaire now, today without putting the work.
They want results without foundations.
Emotional junkies.
